Unless there are enough non stop flights from the states at reasonable prices I think I'll take a pass. Anyway, I'll probably be long gone before it is ever completed. A better strategy might be to make a bypass around the bottlenecks getting from MoGo to Negril.

I don?t really understand the Jamaican Government?s choices fully. It seemed to suggest that the Government won?t have to raise capital. Well the other 2 major airports are not owned by the Jamaican Government. Sangster is actually owned in part by a Canadian conglomerate, the rest is owned by Mexico. Not a lot of mega projects are owned by Jamaica.
Yep, would be better if they just built a few bridges over the coves near Lucea, Orange Bay... etc...
wow, I think this is big news and surprised at how little interest there is. An international airport in Little London seems likely to attract speculation from Sav all through Negril. It will cause massive development in the entire western part of the country in the next decade. I wonder if much of the board is sufficiently old that a decade perspective is no longer interesting.

Having said that, only 2 years ago they were talking about a MoBay bypass and by the looks of the progress we'll be driving on it by this time next year. I'm talking about a major overpass at Bogue Road, super size bridge over the Barnett River and an extension through the lagoon's to Fairview Shopping Centre.

Also keep in mind this new airport will not be government built, owned or run. This will be a private venture that all landing fee's and probably departure tax fee's will go to the builder. I'm thinking we will see this sooner than later.
Does anyone have an update on the Negril International Airport in Little London? Has construction began? If so, is there a target completion date?
