West End Tales: May 2025
Up at 3am, Uber to Logan Airport at 4am, boarded the plane at 6:30, took off at 7:15, landed in Mo Bay at 10:30am. Flight arrived early and one hour time difference.
I was one of the first off the plane, long walk to immigration hall. Kiosks were empty, used the first one closest to the hall. Worst immigration photo EVER!
Immigration hall was EMPTY! Used the e-gate. Off to Duty Free, it was empty!
Waited 10 minutes at checked luggage. Off to Customs, it was almost empty.
Oz hadn?t arrived yet, so settled in at the Groovy Grouper for a few beers. Was holding my first cold red stripe by 11am! Definitely the quickest time from landing to exiting the airport in my experience!
Oz pulls up at 12:15 and we are off to Valerie?s. He was delayed due to road crews patching the highway to/from Negril.
Valerie was in fine form and we had a few beers.
Off to Negril, light traffic even in Lucea. Grand Palladium is adding 900 rooms!
Pull into Negril and I?m starting to feel at ease, home at last!
Mi Yard was closed, so met Rob and gave him his White Castle burgers.
Off to Seastar, check in with Monique and Chris.
Drop my stuff off in the room. Probably should have showered or jumped in the pool, but headed to the bar instead.
Ricky 22 PAC, Garret, Delroy & Bugo showed up and we had a few. Keena started us off, then Jackie took over the bar.
I faded fast due to the long day, heat and beers. Called it an early night and crashed.
Once the sun comes up, I?ll jump in the pool. After breakfast I?ll walk up to Wise Choice, forgot to pack my toothbrush! Then see if Cone stick and cup is open. Need to get something?s from Mason.
Going to be a chill day at Seastar. Photos later
Enjoy,

Walk up da lane, Wise Choice for a toothbrush.
Young girl buying cooking oil for her Mom. It comes in a small baggie with a plastic tie. Just enough for a meal.
Cross West End Road aka One Love Drive. Mason is behind the counter at Cone Cup & Stick. Nice chat and great service.
Stroll back to Seastar and jump in the pool. Likkle sun.
Waiting for Shantana to make lunch, Keena working the bar.
Mega Chill day at Seastar!

Re: West End Tales: May 2025
GoodTuesday morning Boardies!
Beautiful morning so far.
Ashley picked me and Rob up around noon yesterday, headed to Boardwalk Village, NCB then HiLo.
Rob needed supplies to make his Skyline Chili five way (it’s an Ohio thing).
Headed back to town and shopped at the new Temu Store across from Stop Light.
Then walked across the street to Stop Light for a few cold ones!
My stomach started to growl, so Ashley drove us up to LTU for lunch.
Rob had the black bean burrito with chicken and I had the jerk chicken sandwhich. Love LTU, Opal provided great service and the food was excellent.
After lunch we headed to El Coborno near Whoopee’s.
Great view and Denno is very cool proprietor!
Back to Seastar and get a big hug from Oshin!
Jump in the pool, change and head to the bar. Garrett and Flam join me and have a chill time.
Later we head over to the village and hang out at Denise’s. Baker joins us and we have a great time!
Back to Seastar and join Chris at the bar.
By this time I’m running low on gas and call it an early night.
Going to be a chill day today. Pool, sun, and hammock time!
Photos later.
Enjoy,

Early to bed and early to rise.
I’m waiting for the sun to come up a bit before I jump in the pool.

Re: West End Tales: May 2025

Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Good Thursday morning Boardies:
The skies opened yesterday afternoon around 4pm and it poured for about an hour at Seastar!
I’m pleased to report the new roof that was installed earlier this week worked well.
Around 5:30 Rob showed up and around 6pm a crew from Catcha, LTU Gardens and CLP joined at the bar to watch the Celtics. Oshin worked her magic behind the bar and kept the cold drinks flowing.
Unfortunately the Celtics lost.
Then Chris came out to watch the Winnipeg Jets game and they lost as well.
Slept in this morning and didn’t make it to the pool until 8:30.
Waiting for Shantanna to cook breakfast, Spanish omelette with hash brown bacon and toast.
Headed to town later to hit the ATM and then Temu for more shopping. Depending on the weather we may head to LTU for the sunset and dinner. Can’t decide if it will be chicken Lola or lasagna?
Enjoy,

Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Awesome report VVHT, sounds like the usual suspects and neighborhood is doing good. Enjoy the rest of your trip and I hope time slows down for you while you're there. Fingers crossed for Celtics hoping they can make a comeback. Take care. Jambarney & Badnaz

Good Friday morning Boardies:
Headed into town yesterday around 3pm. Scotia Bank for funds, likkle shopping at Temu.
Walked over to Rocky?s Sport Bar, then some box lunch from a cook shop behind the corner bar.
Drove up to Bazingas for a cold stripe. Next stop El Coborno for a few more. Denno has a sweet spot with a great view!
Back to Seastar and into the pool.
Early dinner of chicken stuffed with callalo and cheese rice and peas.
Early to bed.
Got up late this morning, into the pool and now waiting on breakfast.
Headed to Sav later, jiggly bar tour and definitely QQ Bar in Sav.
Hope to be back for Ricky 22 PAc?s show at Central Park later.

Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Enjoying your report & pics ~ quick question, where's Temu located?
-
Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Diagonally across from Scotia Bank downtown.
No problem with more questions.
-
Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Just got out of the pool at Seastar. Needed to cool off.
Ashley and JaneYAH picked Garrett, Rob and me up.
A few stops downtown then off to Sav. Stopped at Garrett?s Mother?s house for a few cold ones. Very nice lady and proud of her son.
Off to QQ Bar for a few more. Garrett?s sister walks by and he calls her in for introductions.
Next up Garrett?s eldest son works a short distance from QQ and walked over on his lunch break to say hi. Good looking young man.
We got hungry and ordered food delivered from a nearby restaurant 4 BBQ Pork and 1 Turkey Neck. All with rice and peas cole slaw potato salad and way cold apple juice. All mediums for 5000 J plus 1000 J tip for five people! It was delicious, lots of leftovers.
Headed back to Negril and stopped at Red Dragon for a few. Carmine took good care of us. Didn?t see Ragga or Gordo.
No stopping at Scotia Bank, Friday afternoon line was way long! Que was all mashed up in three directions!
Headed back to Seastar and jumped in the pool. Chilling in my room out of the heat.
Photos soon come!
Enjoy,

Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Happy Mother’s Day!
Last night I walked Baker home to the Village, as I was walking through the gauntlet I tripped and went down hard! Fortunately it was the end of the gauntlet. Flam came over and helped me up. Just a few bumps and scratches. Poured over proof on the cuts.
Took a quick trip into town to hit NCB and HiLo. Back to Seastar and into the pool.
Chilled for a bit, then one pool break.
Went over to the village and found Baker, back to Seastar for dinner. Curry Shrimp for me and pan fried snapper for Baker. Started walking up the lane to grab a route taxi to Central Park.
Flam pulled up and offered a ride, no problem mon!
Meet Ricky 22 PAC at Majors in Central Park. Garrett shows up and the party starts!
Several rounds later we head back to Seastar. I’m starting to fade, so walk Baker home.
Going to be a very chill day at Seastar. Hot humid and sunny, sounds like some serious pool time for me!
Photos soon come.
Enjoy,

Good Monday morning Boardies:
Yesterday was a slow day for me. Spent the afternoon trading buckets of Red Stripe at Seastar with Scott. A cool dude from Canada.
Later had pork roast for dinner and watched some hockey with Chris at the bar.
Walking back to my room around 10pm a land crab scuttled across the path!
Maybe LTU for dinner tonight.
Enjoy,

Where is Major's Central Park? Looks like a fun stop!
-
Re: West End Tales: May 2025
Ukrans,
Central Park is across from Negril Escape. Drive or walk into the property and Majors Bar is on the right.
22 PAC has a show on Friday evening called Bluetooth Friday’s.
Enjoy,
