We are so sadden to hear this but overjoyed to have seen him a month ago.. Rob did things his way and we will all miss him.
Dear Rob, This is your board for Negril. I cannot believe you are not here anymore. Am heartbroken. RIP my friend. Will miss you and am forever grateful for the many moments we got to share. Negril was your place to be, no matter what. It will not be the same without you. Have an uneventful journey {{Rob}}
Friends for 30 years, and looking forward to visiting again this winter. What a sad day.
OMG, So saddened by this!! I reread the post several times not wanting to believe it.
RIP Rob!!
We ran into Rob more than 25 years ago at Sunshine Village. Talking with him he encouraged us to venture out more from Sandals and experience Jamaica. We did and now go back to see friends not to just enjoy the beach. Had planned to see Rob in a few weeks, he will be missed.
I’m at a loss for words - Godspeed Rob. Hugs to you Lisa.
So sad! RIP our old friend.
This is tough. He did so much for Negril, especially with internet and promoting the businesses there and the people. Tough to believe I won't be having a cold stripe with him again and talking about Jamaica and the world.
Selena's Sunday morning Web Cast circa 2007. Sorry about the fuzzy pic, I must have had a few Angry Bloody Marys!

Rest in Peace Rob. Condolences to Lisa.
Wow, how sad...
He represented everything that was great about Negril to me. He will be sorely missed and his passing will change my view of Negril...
He was a person of great knowledge and integrity that I enjoyed spending time with (both online and in person).
A great amount of fun too, being shown all the little gems that made Negril an even better place as we did our 'Negril crawls'...
RIP ROB

Wow. Just seeing this. Sad day. Rest in peace Rob.
So sorry to hear this. Our condolences to Lisa and all of Rob's friends and family. Negril.com was the main reason why we ventured around Negril and tried so many different places that we would've never known about if I had not been for Rob setting up Negril.com I used to always look forward to those live webcast sunsets back in the day.
R.I.P. Rob you will forever be missed.

Rob was all of our Eyes & Ears when we weren't on the Rock...He was truly the Ambassador of Negril. WE will since miss all that he did for Negril & Us....Everyting Gonna Be Alright Rob....we'll hold the fort:encouragement:
Just seeing this, man this is a tough one. We have known Rob for over 25 years and just countless conversations, good times, and laughs. I agree that he was the ambassador of Negril, he truly loved Negril with all his heart and gave so much of himself to both visitors and residents alike. I will never forget Rob Graves. Rob we miss you already. Mike & Beth Barnett

TAKE care, Lisa..!!!
Just received the sad news. The webcasts, the stories, the information and news were invaluable to those of us that found our way to Negril.

Great photo. I can tell the approximate time by your Karl Ricketts tee shirt and that it is after LTU was renovated. This is also the exact spot where I met Rob. It was a pull up Thursday with DJ Jerry and everybody "pulled up" including Rob. Our first trip was in 1983. We fell in love with Negril and returned many times over the years. Then I discovered this message board and found that there was a large community of folks out there who felt the same way. Rob was responsible for bringing us all together here. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in Peace Rob.
Shocked and saddened to hear of Rob?s passing. Sending my sincere condolences to Lisa and his family. His passing is a huge loss for all that loved and knew him, as well as the community of Negril. He did so many positive things for the business owners and people of Negril.
I started following Beingee?s back in the late 90?s before it became Negril.com . It has been a wealth of information for so many people over the years.
Rest easy Rob. Again, my sincere condolences to Lisa.
Rest in Peace Rob. I?ve loved having Negril.com as a way to stay connected to Negril before all these Facebook sites appeared and copied the vision of the site. I was on the forum everyday for years, enjoying the posts, the pics, the stories and the whole vib. I?ve sent countless people to the site for Negril info and posted my own pics and replied to many posts. Introduced myself everytime I bumped into you and thanked you for such a happy, feel good site to visit. I?ve been visiting Negril since 1980 and feel this is a real loss to Negril. Thank you Rob for your commitment to the good people of Negril and for your love of our little town. Candyman
Rest in Peace Rob Graves, I remember becoming a member of this forum many years ago. I loved that we could tune in and feel part of Jamaica from home during one of your many web casts. Places such as Sea Star inn, Samsara, Cafe Goa, 3 Dives etc. you let us feel part of the audience. We also had a chance to share our trip reports and beautiful photos of Jamaica. During a time when many of us were just getting connected on the internet, I mentioned to friends and family that we were going to be in Jamaica during a web cast and for them to "tune in". We kept walking in front of the video camera until Rob said, excuse me, we are having a webcast. Many years later we saw Rob and I introduced myself and told him this story. We laughed as I explained it was because of the webcast that we stepped in front of the camera.
Rob and Lisa, thank you for the forum. It has provided the answers to many questions for us and has kept us up to date on many matters and has been a source of entertainment and so much more. Thank you so much.
I know Rob is up there somewhere, eating sliders.
We were notified on Tuesday of Rob Graves' passing. It has taken a few days to process this, and we are still in shock. It was like a punch to the gut?absolutely heartbreaking. When Monty and I got married, we went to Jamaica for our honeymoon. That was the beginning of a love affair with the country. We enjoyed our visits to Montego Bay, but knew we wanted to venture out, specifically to Negril. That?s when Monty stumbled upon Negril.com, run by none other than Rob Graves. Monty read and researched everything on Rob?s site daily.
Our first trip to Negril was in 2009 and we never looked back. I can?t remember the exact time we met Rob, but I believe it was when we attended one of his livestreams from 3 Dives. Our kids were young, so they would watch it with their grandparents just so we could wave at them from Negril.
From there, our friendship grew. Every visit to Jamaica included multiple outings with Rob and Lisa. Our usual routine, after landing in Montego Bay, was to text Rob to let him know we were heading his way. Before even checking into our hotel, we would meet him and Lisa at Red Dragon then proceed to Collette?s, finally arriving at our hotel.
We met them for drinks, dinner, and multiple pub crawls ?the other way? over the years. Rob even officiated our 25th anniversary renewal of vows while Lisa ran the Facebook live so people could watch from home. We were privileged to work with them during Covid to help bring some relief to small businesses who were struggling. It was Rob?s idea to do the t-shirt and we all shook our heads saying, this will never work. But, boy, did it ever and then some!
Rob lived his life to make Negril and her people better. He brought countless numbers of people to visit time after time. He created new friendships and connections with people who would never have met without Negril.com.
Negril will never be the same without him! My heart is breaking just thinking of our next trip without seeing him. We were blessed to have spent time with him in August. We love you and will never forget you, Rob. Our hearts go out to Lisa and Rob?s family!
We promise to continue doing what we can to help the people of Negril, as you would have. We will lift a Red Stripe in your honor every visit.
Fly high friend! Until we meet again.
With much love and respect,
Monty and Melo
