More about Alfred's in the next post..that was one crazy night that ended up at Scrub a Dub!
I'm trying to get the pictures to come though bigger but I'm not sure how. I am resizing them in another program and just attaching them resized at 350 pixels....ugh! I will try to figure it out later unless someone has any suggestions? Maybe a better resizing program? I'm using AVS Image Converter but it's a PIA.

BTW, do they have in room safe's at HP?
Yes they do have safe's. I know I realized after the last thread I shouldn't have just posted it as Day 1 because then I have to continue Day 2 on a different one..Oh well.
hope you can figure out how to make the pics bigger--loving seeing glimpses of your trip--but can't see too much:) Funny how you got all the stand-ins for the photo, the JA guys want in on the action.
Day 2 Continued
So we mingle for a bit and then I see someone I haven’t seen in YEARS!!!!! It’s always exciting to see an old friend and catch up on things. I look over and see Bobbie and Lisa surrounded by a group of guys so I go over to make sure everything is OK. These guys are from England and are just having some fun. Funny guys. I’m Not sure how the conversation turned in this direction but I somehow got myself involved in a bet on who would win a Daggering competition between myself and the English guy wearing soccer shorts and sneakers! HAHAHA! So as we try to round up our ride to Scrub a Dub a likkle fuss ensues. The driver the English guys are dealing with wants to charge way too much..I tell him no and he get’s pissed off at me for ruining his business….but we had a ride with friends so why would we pay for a ride? Turns out there are too many people for the one car so I reluctantly hop on the back of my friend’s bike and ride up to Scrub a Dub with him. White knuckles and all. It was NOT a scooter…I’m just glad I made it there alive and well! LOL. It was fun though!
So we get there first and wait for the others. When the girls arrive I go over to meet them and Bobbie tells me that one of the guys in the car she rode in is somewhat “sad” that I did not ride with them. (sigh). Now this is one of the things I try to avoid. I like to be friendly with everyone but I try really hard not to give anyone the wrong idea. I am in no way, shape or form looking for a relationship, or marriage, or a “special friend” while on my vacation. Now this guy is super nice but it’s not like that. So I hop in the car and have a chat with him. We laugh and joke and all seems good so then we are ready for Scrub a Dub. Turns out the only ones actually going in is us girls..none of the guys want to go. Oh well, that’s fine with me.
So Bobbie and Lisa go ahead of me because they are in a race to the bathroom, and I get stuck at the door getting interrogated by security. And I don’t mean interrogated as in the business sense..I mean a “what’s your name and number “ type of interrogated. So 10 minutes later I finally get in…Geez! It seems like any other club except for the dancers in the center dancing around some poles. We head upstairs where the DJ is and chill out there. Now Lisa looks really uptight at this point and just sit’s down. Bobbie and I dance and chit chat with the DJ and request some songs….there are no pictures from this particular club and that’s probably best for everyone involved. All I know is I had bruises the next day that all I could do was laugh about. We will be talking about that event for a WHILE!
Next up....New Years Eve at Seastar with LUCIANO!!!! Best night of my life hands down.

NEW YEARS EVE!!!!
I need to speed this report up because I am starting to forget some things, so I’m going to get on the ball here. I will skip over the morning of this day because the night kind of rolled into the morning and well let’s just leave it at that. I had to find the other two girls because they had already gone to breakfast and the beach. So I just hung out and waited for them at the room. We needed to head downtown for Bobbie to change some money and go to Hi-Lo so Lisa could look for her freakin bananas (sigh). We get downtown and Bobbie got her money changed by some street dude, we bought a few Cd’s from a guy I had bought one from a few days ago…it was good so I told the girls to go ahead and buy from him. You know sometimes you buy cd’s off a random person on the street and they either don’t work or they are crap quality. We head up the road and come across a hardware store. Now, Bobbie had brought raft’s down for each of us but we realized after blowing them up that the nozzle would not stay inside the raft so all the air would promptly leak out. We decided we needed some duct tape. So as soon as we saw the hardware store we realized this would be the place to get us some duct tape!! After about 20 minutes we get out tape and continue on to Hi-Lo.
At this point we get a little follower because Bobbie and Lisa are walking ahead of me and Lisa has this look like “I have no idea where I’m going”. I keep telling her to keep walking, it’s up the hill a bit but she doesn’t listen and she mentions to the kid that she is trying to get to Hi-Lo. If she wouldn’t have been so OCD and just relaxed for a minute and let me walk in front everything would have been fine. Now she has her own personal tour guide all the way to Hi-Lo and of course through Hi-Lo as well. So he made out with some apples and some trail mix and I don’t know what else.
We leave Hi-Lo and everyone is hungry so I suggest we try Just Natural! We are already up this way and I’ve heard nothing but great things about that place. In a taxi and up we go. There isn’t anyone else dining when we get there and are greeted by a really nice lady…I think her name was Christine ? I’m horrible with names but she said we could call her long legs! Lol. She was sooo nice and welcoming. I ordered the Veg Plate and it was by far the best meal I had the entire trip. There was pumpkin and choc cho and beans and rice and peas and I don’t even know what else but it was DELICIOUS! I could have eaten every meal of every day there and been happy! And the prices are unbelievable! As in reasonable, not ridiculous. We take some photos while there and decide it’s time to head back to the hotel and try and fit in a nap so we can be ready for later. It’s New Years Eve and we are going to see Luciano!!!!!!!!
By the time we nap, shower, decide what to wear and get ready it’s close to 10pm. We need to get a move on FAST! We start walking down the beach road and grab a taxi to Seastar. The taxi driver is exceptionally friendly and decides to sing us a song…he has a great voice! We bring up a topic that Bobbie and I were chatting about earlier in the day, which was why Sizzla sings uplifting positive roots music but also caters to a dancehall crowd as well? He had a good explanation, which was he is an artist and kind of like an actor, sometimes you have to “act” a certain way for entertainment sake, and it does not necessarily mean you believe in those things….hmmmm, something to ponder I guess.
We get to Seastar and I am just so excited I feel like I might explode at any minute. I have been listening to Luciano since I was maybe 13 or so. Lord give me strength and Sweep over my soul have gotten me through some really rough days in my life….so this night I am feeling very blessed to be able to see him in person. It almost feels surreal. I go to the bar and get a drink and the girls get their food from the buffet. After I get my drink I look around and see they found a table right up front….Yaay! Good job girls! I sit down and the band is playing. It was funny because as I sat down I noticed one person in particular on stage that was… well…nice looking, and as soon as I mentioned it Bobbie chimes in..”Yeah, we were just talking about that”. Hahaha! Great minds think alike. So we are just chillin, talking, and waiting for the big moment…and when Chris get’s up on stage to announce Luciano I can’t even put into words how excited I was, THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!
Killer videos!!!!! I already sent Chris a begging email to have him come back and play 4/20 weekend. Thanks for sharing, that was really cool. I was too busy getting my own party on and missed the broadcast.

Lucky me I was not necessarily a Luciano fan, but I saw him at the Jungle in Nov. and at Seastar on New Years eve. Great performance both times! (and have also downloaded the best of Luciano from itunes,lol)

Rastagal - I really loved the videos! I was watching the REALNEGRIL webcast on New Years and it's great to see the countdown from the perspective of someone right in the middle of the action!

Thanks everyone! It's been fun trying to remember everything that happened during the trip...it's somewhat watered down due to the fact other people are involved, and it is actually really tricky trying to tell a story without giving out too much info! I mean, even changing names wouldn't work because descriptions would give it away. This is tough!

I got goosebumps watching that Lucian clip. His voice is so smooth and inviting. I’m swaying and smiling at my desk feeling like I’m there…until the clip stops :-(
