We will be staying @ BGN, I would like to take my mom for a walk down the 7 mile, I know we can cut through Hedo to walk the 7 mile~ but isn't quite a hike to get to public beach bars, shops etc? Are we better off grabbing a cab and getting dropped off somewhere? :cool:
Margaritaville is probably a good spot. It's right in the middle of the main beach.
I like to start at the Tree House and walk down to Legends. It takes about an hour if you don't stop to shop, have a few red stripes, or haggle with the vendors, but that is half the fun!!
Margaritaville ? ? ? ? Tree House ? ? ? ? You must be kidding ! ! ! ! You are missing the best part of the beach ! ! ! ! Start at Cosmos ............... RUN past the A.I.'s and stop at all the laid back places BEFORE you get to Tree House ................. old school, Jamaican owned places to stop and have a cold one.
My spot is Around Seawind and head toward town.
actually a little further from town is better ............ Cosmos ......... then SeaWind ............. actually right at the old Couch Hill for you old timers ! ! !Quote:

If it's the flavor of 7 mile beach you want to show your mom, I agree with going in after Couples Swept Away, and you can still get plenty of Old School Ja flavor.
I also agree Cosmos is great if you don't mind a little hike after that to get out of AI land.
Also, keep in mind, you can enter almost any non-AI property from the street by politely explaining to security that you would like to check out their bar for a drink. You can also get to the street the same way - ask if it's ok to walk to the street to check out the property on your way. I've never been refused. And sometimes, get a nice little tour.
