Sleep in peace and thank you for sharing yourself with us.
We were just talking about seeing him again this year. A quick end is a merciful thing! Peace to him, he will be missed.
Very sad indeed we will miss him. Rest in peace brother.
we remember him from the beach, R.I.P , SOON COME
I tried my first post today on this subject, but I think it went wrong.
So This is to report the sad passing of Rango, the well known and respected songwriter and singer who was always to be seen entertaining at the beach hotels.
During the last 2 or 3 years he spent a lot of time at Firefly's bar and sang at the Tuesday beach parties with his small band, even up to last week. That is whereAttachment 8422Attachment 8423Attachment 8424l the photos were taken not long ago. He will be sadly missed.
I know there will be many who will recognize him in these photos and probably never knew his name. The other musician is Howie Williams.
In early December he was not strolling the beach with Howie. Howie had a new partner. I wonder if he wasn't feeling well then.
This makes me so sad. We met him and I:ratio the first day of our trip in October and we would talk to him every day. He would even call my name if I was out in the water. I remember him telling me that he used to perform with some bigger artists back in the day and I googled him when I got home because I was thinking of him. He was definitely one of the people that I was looking forward to seeing on our return trip. Very sad.

So sorry to hear this :(
I have a really good video of them singing. Am uploading to youtube and will share when it's done.
It won't be quite the same at the Firefly bar. He always came by during all my stays there. Gonna miss him.
Nice pic's David. We will miss hanging out with Rango and entertaining us that's for sure.
"Lots" of good memories!
See everybody soon,
Lance and Mary
aw man i was lookin forward to seeing him during my next trip in april,, R.I.P
We really enjoyed their singing last year and they played for us for quite a while.
sad to lose anybody....more so a "talent that created music"
Man this is terrible news. Last year I was happy to get to jam with Omango and Howie Blendah and several other great musicians. I called them the Negril Beach All stars...Omango did "Sittin on the dock of the Bay" and he nailed it. He truely was one of the great entertainers of the area..
He was a really nice man, so generous despite his means, and a pleasure to spend time with. He will be sadly
missed. Some of his music is posted on the Firefly Facebook page, for my personal experience with him the song n.3 'Dont let me suffer' particularly reminds me of him.
We Still miss Rango Every Day.
Rango was most happy when Singing.
