It is surprisingly refreshing! Saw the locals drinking it more than Red Stripe...so I tried and was pleasantly surprised!

Well you do see how that Guiness is looking at that Ginger Beer!
We travel with a boarding named Wench....she is a Guiness nut! She drinks this stuff like its going out of style! :)
I like one every now and then...always keep a few in the fridge!
I LOVE the Guinness in Jam...My Favorite thing to drink there-cant stand Red stripe (Yuck-too watered down) You can pretty much find me with a Guiness in hand- or maybe sometime a Rum drink...
Nope. Guiness is just not my ting. I'll drink ting instead.
Since there seems to be a paucity of choices in beer in JA, I drink as wide an assortment as I can find (w/o breaking the pocketbook). Each beer is a deliberate choice. Generally, I adhere to the mantra "when in Rome", and drink Red Stripe. But Red Stripe has a little higher alcohol content than I can handle ..... so I might drink one red stripe, maybe 2, then a Red Stripe Light. Sometimes I get a lil tired of Red Stripe, just need a lil more excitement for the tastebuds, so I switch it up to a Heineken or Guiness ... I DO appreciate the roasted barley flavor of Guiness for a change now and then.....
When hanging out at the internet cafe with Max, an English guy would come in and mix some vanilla stuff into his Guiness ... Anyone know what that is about? I shoulda asked then.
had one last night at the Sunday Park bashment in Negril by the roundabout.......
taste nice mon......it's not the same kind that wi get here in the USA........
it's made and bottled here in Jamaica.........
Red Stripe Bold is this guys beer of choice........
though less places carry it as compared to 2 years ago.....
Cool Runnings, Marko
.
1. RS Bold
2. Dragon Stout
3. Guinness
4. RS
5. RS Light
6. Heineken
For some reason, the Heineken in JA tastes blah to me...YMMV
I will have the ocasional Guiness, prefer a hot Dragon, and am with Marko on the Redstripe Bold, its a real nice beer, but getting harder to find.
Red Stripe Bold????? WHA??
I love the Guiness FES and was so happy when they finally started selling it here 2 years ago, it's much better than the other Guiness stouts they put out
I also love Dragon Stout and I even make my own here that tastes the same (I brought a few bottles back for a taste test)
Not a big fan of Guiness or Dragon Stout, but I tried the Red Stripe Light Apple this trip.
I love the Guiness FES. I heard it made it to US but not in my area yet. a home brewed Dragon sounds good too.
a warm Guiness after a semi frozen coconut wata is part of my JA hangover cure
Guiness, Red Stripe, Dragon, Heiny... Just gimme a cold one and all is right with the world!
I prefer Guinness over Red Stripe or Heineken. But it is different than the imported Guinness you get here in the States.
I loved the old labels that said: Guinness is good for you! I still have some of them. :D
Gotta try the Guinness, don't really care for it here in the states. I do enjoy the Red Stripe though. My wife loves the Rum Punch at Firefly.
Dragon Stout when in JA !!!!!!

Guiness puts "lead in the pencil". I have a few of those bottles with the label that proudly announces that Guiness is "good for you". Keep them proudly dispayed on our bar. I think it tastes good cold or warm, beer doesn't stay cold long on the beach. Peace
I cant decide weather i like Dragon Stout or the Guiness better so i alternate. i might be crazy but i want to move to Negril and open up a microbrewery so we can enjoy some nice ipas and dopplebocks on the cliffs. Anyone want to invest in the dream? ;)
:p sorry, brewing will always be just a hobby - I already have a day job and that one actually pays for my trips
