I picked up an underwater camera this weekend and dusted off my snorkeling gear. The single digit fidget is kicking in bad and I really really really need my Jamaica fix. 2 more sleeps and we are in the air!!

Have a GREAT TRIP CRUSHER!!
We also packed up yesterday and also found the snorkel gear, have a underwater camera left from last year that we will for sure use this year, 2 more sleeps for us also
I bought a digital camera this year so I plan on making some movies and taking some pics. Should be a fun time! :)
Day behind you buddy... see you there..
I'll be looking for "the house" on the beach. :)
We're doing the single digit figit too! Be there on Sunday!
7 sleeps for me, arriving on Bob's birthday. I wish someone would just knock me out until then, it is crawling by too slow.
Orchid I find that the webcasts got me through the weekend. I would suggest them as therapy. I am so looking forward to hitting the beach! :)
I agree Crusher...but I am currently without a computer at home (just my ipod to check the board out), and when I try to access the webcasts from work (bad girl...), I get a text box that states in large red letters: ACCESS DENIED.
I agree, can't wait to be on the beach, only 1 week in Jamaica this time, shortest trip ever, but better than a kick in the head!
This post just reminded me I need to get a underwater camera. Just ordered 2 on amazon. Will be here by Wednesday!! Just in time for our trip on Sunday! 6 more days!!!
Here is a great deal on an inexpensive digital underwater camera. Less than $64! You can't beat it for the money. It takes video also.
I actually use this exact camera myself and have had it as deep as 90 feet without issues. The online reviews are mixed but I think for the money this camera can't be beat. Just be sure to buy rechargeable batteries.

I bought a Canon D10...I am a photographer in my spare time and a Canon Fan Boy. I didn't want to cart my digital SLR's down this year but wanted to do something fun. I got it for like a hundred bucks off as the local dealer had it on sale. Its a 12 mega pixel and takes video as well as pictures.
The Canon D10 is a great camera and perfect for snorkeling. For scuba though it is only limited to 33 feet which isnt deep enough for my purposes. I have no doubt it takes great photos though.
Yeah I haven't made the leap to Scuba just yet so it was perfect for my needs.
I just picked up an Olympus Tough for my snorkeling pics. My buddy in St. Croix has had one for a few years and loves it. After my episode in Belize last year it was time for a digital. I accidentally ruined the film that had my pics of me swimming with the sharks. I was sooo bummed.
My friend had her D10 with us in Jamaica last year....but I broke my leg before I could take advantage of it....we got some really nice stuff in 2010 though....
Have an awesome time in Negril, Crusher!!:D
Mr. Twister - thanks for sharing that link to the affordable underwater camera. I can't believe it can take movies too! That's exactly what we've been looking for!
Oh Clarity....I'm working on an EPIC time in Negril this year! :)

We loved ours. Went snorkeling with Vincent.
That is a real bummer! The same thing happened to me in Belize. My camera flooded after I took photos of mating Eagle Rays and my film got ruined. No more film cameras for me...lol
You are welcome. If you buy that particular camera be sure you buy rechargeable batteries. They will last a lot longer and obviously you can recharge them. The only downfall with this particlar camera is that it uses AAA instead of a battery pack.
hey crusher, see you on s.b. sunday, i have a fuji underwater camera, works great, soon come
