Romantic Negril

So I have lots of plans for romance on this trip - long walks, private verandah time, intimate swims, I know a couple of "secret spots", Ivans, Pushcart, coffee wake-ups to catch the dawn, poetry and serenades, flowers - yeah lots of flowers - which brings me to my questions -

I'm thinking flowers should be easy to get but for the life of me can't remember where would be good on the West End, ideas? I'm staying at Home Sweet Home. And...

Since I'm a cheap and lazy romantic I'm always willing to steal somebody else's good idea. Hit me with some of the more romantic memories you have of your time in Negril with someone special.

I am not sure if this is what you mean or not, but Floral Fantasies did my wedding flowers and they were amazing. Most beautiful flowers I have ever seen and excellent customer service. Can't say enough good things about Rosemarie and staff at Floral Fantasies.

I'm thinking a small bouquet of different tropical flower each day - $5-10, the room would be loaded with flowers by the end of the week... Do you think they could do something like that?

Email her directly and tell her your idea and your budget, she will make it happen.

I had a specific idea in mind and it didn't match any that she had on her webpage. I sent her a picture and told her what I wanted to pay and she made it work. She was there on time, the flowers were perfect and beautiful. She responds quickly to email, etc.

Also you mentioned Ivans for romantic dinner (Definitely!!!) If you call or email ahead and speak to Andrea or Mauvette you can make arrangements at the special table, they can decorate it real nice for you
Also you can reach out to Rockhouse to make a reservation at the Rock Table, it is secluded, a table on the cliff all by yourselves....very romantic!

I would bet you could get your houskeeper or a groundskeeper to pick and deliver you flowers everyday for the 5 or 10 dollars.

Good idea Prism, Thanks :) I have an email in to Floral Fantasies, will see what they can do. If there is a problem there I like the idea of helping staff, I always try to do that where I can manage.

My husband surprises every week or so with an assortment of flowers picked from our yard. So sweet and romantic - he's a keeper :)

Got the hook up on the special table at Ivans, just need to pick a night. Hoping to hear from Rockhouse soon so I can spread them out a little bit! :)

$15 per delivery from floral fantasies, a little steeper than I'd hoped. I dropped a note to Charlie at HSH asking about vases/glasses for the flowers and if he had any suggestions on flower acquisition. I'm thinking I'll do a trip report Nick, we come back to Michigan on the 11th so I should be able to get some info up for you.

You can have Presley's all to yourself if you make reservations in advance. For under a 1000$J you and your sweety can have his dining room all to yourself.
And Presley will let you pick the entree (no shellfish (I think) because he is a Rasta).

Presley will leave alone to except for serving.
Very Romantic, especially after dark.
He is located in the Sips and Bites neighborhood on the opposite side of the road.

I was interested in the same thing so I contacted Floral Fantasies. I was able to get the following for $150 US including delivery. I dealt with Rosemarie, she was very helpful. The first Day the will deliver 1 large bouquet and 2 smaller ones for the Bedroom and Verandah. Then on Day 3 they will deliver one more large bouquet. The price was more than I was hoping for, and I sure I could have done a lot better just slipping the guy at Hide Awhile a $50 each time and he would fill the villa with locally picked flowers. I went for it just to have it out of the way and hopefing they will be better quality. What I love about Jamaica is everyone you meet is basically a concierge if you know the power of tipping.

great thing about mi stay last week at SeaStar Inn was they had a fresh bouquet of flowers everyday in mi room!

OK, FIRST... where in the world are all of the men like you, and how do I find one??? LOL...my husband barely says hello in the evening when he gets home and never says goodbye in the morning and FORGET anything in between!!! I have birthed twin boys for him (and me too) and have never received a mothers day gift not to mention no valentines, Birthday, Anniversary, ect. Wow!!! I would love to have a man like you guys!!!
Anyway...back to the point.... I would suggest a nice dinner at Kuyaba on the beach. They offer a really romantic table in a tree house, all by its self. They will also come and pick you up and return you to your hotel. The food is amazing...the lobster thermidor is to die for.

I talked to Charlie at HSH after I got the info from Floral Fantasy and thought about the feedback I got here. Asked him about staff and if that was ok with him. He quickly replied that he had talked with one of his staff that lives in the country and they agreed they would bring a bouquet of flowers for $10 a day, I'll probably give them $900-1000J. Charlie has been very helpful and responsive in this and I just want to give him proper kudo's for his assistance. I think it portends well for an excellent week.

IrieSistah, what you are saying, it ain't right. We all deserve to feel the power of love, I hope you're able to find a path. I'd send you some flowers now if I could :)
