anyone know about the sea splash and the "re do" it underwent recently? Is the restuarant there still called Norma's? I understand the ownership changed and Norma is no longer involved and just wondered how its looking these days.

Norma died a few years back so far they are keeping the name. We were there a couple of weeks ago Here are some pics that the new owner Jim posted about a week ago. The new place looks great.

Cool Runnnings, Marko
I have spoken to people who've stayed there in the last couple weeks, and also local friends - plus there have been a lot of pictures. Everything was done really nicely and they've accomplished getting a MUCH bigger bar area and still kept the beautiful pool and space intact. NegrilOneStop has pictures on there Seasplash page of the new bedding, towels, cushions, patio tables and chairs. Everything to my eye (and I know these rooms very well ; )) looks upgraded and fresh. As far as the grounds go, it would have been hard to ruin things without a bulldozer -- the landscape there has always been fabulous! The nicest I've seen on the beach at least. I'm hoping to be there in a few weeks. It's about time people are noticing what a great property this is -- under-appreciated for a long while was always my impression.
Good to hear that the new owners are doin' it right. Can't wait to see it.
Soon come can't come soon enough!
Will be there Mar.4-11..pics on Negrilonestop.com look good..check out pics on tripadvisor.com also..looking forward to staying on a new part of the beach. From what I've read, the renovations are done and the bar and restaurant are open...can't wait.
We're staying there Feb. 27th-March 5th, first time staying on the beach. :) (Spending our last night/day on the cliffs) The photos look great!
I am going to be getting there tuesday, hope its good said I wouldnt stay that far down the beach again, but am givin it a try.
Seasplash treated us really well when we stopped in there.
We used Boombastic and they honored it.
