Catcha will be on the high end of the places you can visit. Wise Choice grocery store is across the street where you can buy your own and stock your fridge if you are a beer drinker. When you head out the gates and turn right you can hit LTU, which is right near Rick's. Past that is Sexy Rexy's if you want to kick it with a character. If you head left out of the gates you have all sorts of options: Eddie's Debar, C&D bar, Xtabi, etc. If you are there on a Wednesday you can do the pub crawl and visit all sorts of cool little bars. Do a search on here to read more about it.
Have fun, Catcha is a great place and the bartenders Kevin and Ty at night are a lot of fun. Carol during the day is a sweetheart as well.
Yep...What booger said.....you can also head to Seastar for some good priced drinks
But, be aware, your hardest part will be leaving Catcha.....good luck there! It's the kind of place you never want to leave!
Have a blast!
Boy you got that right Marley...guess that's why I seem to always have to close the place...then I gotta go home!! LoL
Happy Hour at the SeaStar Inn from 4-6PM...........
Sir D's Lookout just past LTU.........
and of course LTU.....mi olde hangout..........
real tuff leaving Catcha though........front row seat for sunsets der
dem chairs are so comfortable at Catcha..........
Cool Runnings, Marko
C&D has great prices, drinks and food. Connie is a wonderful host.
All them are good, Sir D,s best spot for sunset, happy hour at Seastar!, Debar, there are too many to list.
We spent a lot of time at Pewee's. Lots of locals there and there always seemed to be something interesting going on. If you stop in tell'em Kevin and Beth said hello :)
Across from Pewee's is No Limit which is also another cool place to chill and have a drink but it seems to open later in the day than PeWee's.
De Bar has a good vibe too. The prices seemed very reasonable at all ofthe places.
I had some rum punch at De Bar on my last trip that would curl your toes. I don't remember the mans name behind the bar but he could make some mean drinks....lol.....which is likely why I cant remember his name.
LOL Twister....I know what you mean! AND it got EVEN stronger after you left, if you can believe that! They must have been short on punch that night.....no shortage of rum though!
Hahahahahaha
Best time is doing the One Love Bus Bar Crawl. It's free, just tip Lenbert and you get to visit 8 to 10 bars on a Wednesday night with a large group of new friends. It visits a lot of the bars already mentioned. There's lots on info in this forum on it.
My votes go in this order:
Mi Yard
De Bar
Canoe
No Limit
Sir D's - the view OMG the wata color OMG
On the Rocks
His name is Eddie at De Bar.
Sometimes Trevor is the mix master I heard he pours them strong!
No.....it wasn't Eddie behind the bar. I did know that much...lol.
TREVOR!!!! That's the man who was workin' the magic!
Oh yes it was Trevor that made our RUM "punches" that night! LOL
I have not tried his rum punch, but have heard about it though, great cook though!

Thanks guys! Getting a good list going.
We would like to do the Bus Crawl, but I think we are going to arrive on Wed.
and not sure we want to hit all the bars that soon ;-)
....if the day changes, then definitely!
Good thing to point out about No Limit and DeBar is both are generally open late. Most places, especially the hotel bars, rarely serve past 11 of 12 .... I guess MiYard is the only true 24 hour spot, but they're way down the hill, too.
SouthernRust, when are you there? We might be able to hook up.
Booger picked this one just right?Get Red Stripes at the store, drink at the room then go to the bar.The drinks at the bar at Catcha are strong anyway.....Best Bar Ever....
We are planning to go June 20th-27th. Our driver usually brings us a cooler full of Red Stripe.
Won't work. Different dates. But I am sure you will meet lots of great people. Have fun.
iteachdetroit - first a big thank you for your service of teaching - bless you.
Thanks - All on my list are friendly period. In Negril - these are laid back chill places where you will find people of all kinds which is beautiful.
At night I would just advise that you use caution and stay alert. Be careful walking roadside at night unless you are used to it. I would take route taxis but stay in poplulated areas. I felt a bit uncomfortable one time and ask a staff member to stand with me to hail a cab (about 2:00 am) but that only happened once in 5 years. If you plan on partying hard then just plan ahead with a trusted driver but don't worry too much....same precautions as a night out in the States.
OH just remembered another place I love SEAVIEW right on the turn up towards West End.....love hanging there....
