I hate to use the word envious...but I am!! Wow, would I ever be so lucky to be there to see Toots in Negril! What an awesome concert that would be. Hope someone posts some pictures.
will be going to see toots!!
We'll be there!!!
That is our arrival day and we will have no sleep. Any guesses to what time the show will start?
The office at the Jungle has been open for tickets as well Negril Escape has them, they have been starting the shows around eleven.

Thanks pgw. I think I'll be sound asleep by eleven .
1980 Down on the beach in Negril was my first time to get down with TOOT$.. Then back 2009 with him again on the beach in S.C. U.S.of A. He will rock you to your soul.. This is a true "Soul-Man"... Weeeeeeeee..!!
Reggae got soul!!!!!
I agree 100%
Toots is the MAN!
Anyone in Negril for this show, GO! You will NOT be disappointed, that's for sure!
Caught him at Alfreds in 2006 and it was GREAT
Beyond EXCITED about this show!! I have seen him Minneapolis several times ... but - so so looking forward to enjoying him here! We made friends with some young women from Germany ... I got them tickets ~ told them they MUST take the opportunity to see him ... it is their last night in Jamaica, and one of their birthdays .... WOOT WOOT!

No self-respecting Jamaican super star would get on stage before midnight!

hmm - not sure why I am repeat posting up there ...
strange comments about 'self-respecting' Reggae Superstars ....
regarding the question about time for the show ... for the two shows that we have seen this year, the gates open around 8:00pm, recorded music began around 8:30 - 9:00ish. Opening act began maybe around 10:15 or so ... Freddie McGreggor began around 10:45 or 11:00ish and finished maybe a bit after 12:00am - we were home around 12:30 or so. It felt like he played for a bit more than an hour ... not sure - don't wear any watch.
for the Beres Hammond show ... again the gates opened at 8:00pm ... first opening act (a really good accoustic guitar and singer) was performing when I arrived around 8:45. A second opening act perfomed ... then Beres began maybe around 11:00 or so (maybe before) ... performed a SOLID show ... it was nuff after midnight when he wrapped up.
