Bits and Pieces of our 2 week trip - Percy's Retreat

We took the gang over to Percy’s Retreat for a few drinks and a great supper. Percy and Annette are such great hosts. Their little guy Tray is such a sweetheart. He is 10 years old and a real charmer. Percy came and picked us up at Seastar and brought us out to the property.

They have built a dining area which is a great addition to the property. Now you can have a delicious meal regardless of the weather. We enjoyed Chicken - Fish - Rice & Peas with cabbage and vegetables and some yummy shrimps. A full bar is available and many chill spots to relax and enjoy.

In the evening they have torches all around the property lit up so that you feel you are in some sort of enchanted reggae palace! You have to go and then you’ll know

That looks great!! I met him at the bar one night at Seastar and he told me about his place...but, I have yet to make it there. This trip fi sure!!! Thanks for posting the pictures...the place looks great as well as all the food.

I thank you for sharing this place before. We had a great day there with Percy and the whole family. Great peeps they are and what a yard...... Thanks for sharing again Irie Always.

Irie Always, would you please post the full size of your avatar. The river bar is SO cool. I was in soak it up mode when we were there and only took a picture of Sweetie Pie by the river. Thanks for all the pics, they are great. It really is a beautiful spot. We talked to Percy about camping there for a couple of days when we go back with Coolbook and Heavy Hand. He also has a small cottage he said he can have ready just about any day.

This was on my "to do" list last trip and I never made it there. I hope to get there next trip. Quick question... where does the bamboo raft take you and how do you get back?

Wow this place is beautiful! Another place to put on my list. I already have a list of places to go, and I will need at least 10 more trips to Negril to do them all! Once I do that I am sure I will learn about more places to visit. Thanks!

I'm not sure if the raft is still navigable but you don't go far really, maybe 100 yards and then back - it is just a little something something to do while chillin in the yard.

Do they come and pick you up by chance??

No problem - Percy provides the service in his licensed Juta van - he'll pick you up and bring you home safe and sound.

How long of a ride is it from Negril? I think I'd like to put it on my list too.

Mo - Your staying at Home Sweet Home aren't you? 20-25 minutes from HSH. If you have Chris from HSH pick you up at the airport he will happily stop there on the way into Negril. He is Percy's brother.

GG. -going in April and staying on the beach. Nov trip is HSH for a few days at the beginning of the trip. Looks like a nice side trip but if it was hours away we wouldn't be interested. 20-25 minutes is certainly doable. Looks like it would be nice to get there during the daylight but then have dinner after the sun sets.

Mrs Annette is a heck of a cook as well as a true sweetheart. Look forward to a half day there mixed with a half day at Half Moon on my next reach. Makes for a great day outside of Negril.

I'm interested where this is located too. If you mentioned combining it with Half Moon, sounds like it's somewhere between Negril and Green Island?

Yes ma'am. If I remember correct Half Moon is another 5 minutes past the turn off for Percy's headed towards Green Island.

Awesome! I'm definitely putting this on the "to do" list for next trip. I'll be staying on the North end of Beach Rd. so it won't be too far away at all. Looking forward to it!

I am pretty sure its in Orange bay, has been on my list of things to do as well, have met Percy several times and cant seem to get there.
