Completely. And you probably won't be alone for very long :)
I went solo last night, was alone about 5 minutes.. Yeah mon.. Great times..
Great question, I was wondering the same myself as I'm going with my Mom and while she's a pretty good sport she certainly doesn't like to party and stay up as late as I do!
you'll be fine. if you really feel nervous, you can have a chaperone- if you have a trusted driver they will watch out for you. but it's really not necessary if you are the type to mostly keep your wits about you and have safe fun.
I am a dude but go there alone, no problem was there last thursday til 4:00 am
Breann are you staying at one close by? I walk back to Negril Beach Club Condos alone. There is so much activity and soo many people on the road right there I never worry. I love inside solo, I always see other boardies and many resort staff. If you are worried your driver will come in if you get a good one or ask at your resort there are always workers from most the hotels going.
Thanks all. I guess I'm not as concerned about being inside alone, as I am about leaving alone. :)
well if you want to avoid the crush at the gate and all that nonsense, you can grab a cab from INSIDE the gate. not sure why more people don't use that service, it's not very well set up. it might be slightly more expensive, but like most things, negotiable.
It is one of the greatest people watching places in Negril IMHO...I have been solo 2-3 times.
...hardly any girls there though... :D:D:D
Hope they work on that...I'm almost always standing there all alone with no one to talk to...
I am selling a bridge as well.
Brasi - that's what I hear. I didn't make it there on my last trip, so I really want to check it out on my next.
Sorry about shortage of ladies in there. :(
I have never been. Is it worth going to?
they play great music to dance to in the disco......good music to listen to upstairs
most of the dancing is downstairs......good place to get your groove on........
prices of drinks and beers are reasonable for that venue........
place gets rollling after midnight...goes till sunrise if you want...or till you go to Scrub A Dub......lol
mi go every reach like that really matters :D

I've always walked back to Hidden Paradise with no problems...it's a short walk, I just don't make eye contact on the way out and pretty much ignore anyone trying to talk to me.
Thanks rastagal! I will definitely try that. :)
Hey Breann i'll be there with my husband on Thursday night and we'd love to hang with you if you feel like it. We're at Tree House right now, Nicole and George
It should not be a problem but if you have even the SLIGHTEST concern about walking back alone, then DON'T. It might cost you $5 us dollars but isn't your well being & peace of mind worth that? You'll know better how you feel when you get there.
Don't stress. Have fun & be safe!
Somebody already mentioned it, but I had the same concerns the first time I went solo...so I hooked my driver up with admission and a drink and he made an EXCELLENT wingman/Chuck Willary...
He was pumped to be going to the Jungle and working at the same time. So when we left, I was walking out with a Jamaican (my driver, folks, my driver, LOL)...no hassles...
I have been alone twice since. Your concerns are understandable...but you are very safe outside the Jungle if you use the same common sense as you do at home.
Now, when you're INSIDE...lol there are other concerns....ooooh boyyyy...:o
But mi let you have your own experience...:D
Brasi, you're starting to talk like Marko, I love it. Last time, the Jungle security staff took Brasi's hat cause they thought he was a gangster -- it took him several rum punches to get over it.
The girls inside tried for the rest of Brasi's clothes. He was a king among men.
The locals there, especially the women, are extremely thirsty. I've noticed, if you buy them drinks, they really appreciate it!
@ SweetSue – Thanks! I’ll go with my instincts and take a cab if I feel don't feel comfortable. :)
@ brasi – “Now, when you're INSIDE...lol there are other concerns....ooooh boyyyy... ” – what do you mean? :)
Gerry:
If I'm gonna imitate someone's vibe on the board, it'd be Marko. The man rolls correct! And he married a Jamaican....LOL! My dream, hahahahahaha. And Bentley loves him. I've been quoting Marko for two years...see above. LOL.
My fav:
"Him won't be solo for long." hahaha
"...security staff took Brasi's hat cause they thought he was a gangster -- it took him several rum punches to get over it. The girls inside tried for the rest of Brasi's clothes. He was a king among men..."
The exact word is "Gaza" bc I had a flat brim NY Yankee hat. I don't like when police take my clothes....as far as the girls/clothes stuff...it is not unique unto me...lots of guys/gals are hit on HARD there. it's that kinda place.

I mean that you will literally be swarmed by men (if you are a woman) and women if you are a man. I do not want to spoil it for you, however. But going solo...you are essentially a rock star there...regardless of social status, appearance, intellect, or, in some people's cases...morals! :D
You will remember your first trip to the Jungle...I promise you. :p
Go up into the "back area" upstairs...sit back...enjoy the ride LOL
@brasi - Ha-ha! :) I have a mental picture of what you described. Should be interesting. I'll definitely have to report back.
you guys are pretty funny........lol
they have a really bad habit of begging drinks in Negril.....you gotta say NO like you do on da beach all da time.....
so people don't fall for that crap.......unless of course she looks like Miss Jamaica.....ha ha

I met Ms. Westmoreland 2002? ish @ Seastar. She is married to an "ex-pat/longtime Negril vacation guy" called John Wayne. LOL I can't make this stuff up folks.
Of course Ladies Night is on the first full day I'll be in Negril. I'm wondering if I should bring my mom or just go by myself, She's not a prude but not really a partier either. I'm thinking it might be a bit too late for her if anything, personally I prefer after-hours partying. Think I'll check it out by myself.
"Go up into the "back area" upstairs...sit back...enjoy the ride LOL "
Where is this exactly Brasi? Just making sure I have all areas covered..after all the years of going there I actually found a new way out on the last trip. I never even noticed there were stairs there!!
