So this is my 3rd trip to Negril and this will be the first time we are going to stay a night in the cliffs. I will be there friday by 1. So any advice on things not to miss while checking out that area haven't spent much time up on that end.

Do not miss the speeding cars on the cliff road! They're some crazy drivers and you don't have much room to walk! Other than that, the cliff side is great! Where are you staying? Leaving tomorrow for a week on the beach then headed to Negril Escape.
Lucky you!!!! I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip. I am a cliff lover so I will give you my two cents......
With only one night on the cliffs - just snorkel or stare at the sea and soak up the sun when you get there (cold Red Stripe maybe?) - shower, have a nice dinner onsite or walk or taxi to one of many delicious choices (De Bar jerk chicken; Chicken Lavish; Choices; Canoe). Then the MUST DO is to (have some rum maybe?) watch the sunset - then converstation and maybe dominos (if you prefer music/drinking try out No Limit Bar, Sea View, De Bar, Mi Yard). My favorite part of staying on the cliffs is just "being" there by the sea - doesn't get much better than that feeling and I don't want to be anywhere else.
dinner at Ivan's. "must do"
The West End is the best end! Be sure to take a walk, drop in little shops and restaurants and bars and talk to locals. Where on the cliffs are you staying? Let me know and I'm sure we can all make recommendations for restaurants and bars in your neighborhood.
Rastagirl i am staying at home sweet home
Sweetness should be able to really hook you up since you're staying at HSH. She has stayed there also. I am definitely a cliff lover!! More so, every trip....so much to discover and plenty of great places to eat and drink. Just walk along the road and drop in....don't be shy........drift in and talk or have a drink and the cliff magic will grab you big time. Don't be reluctant to walk down some of the side roads...many adventures and fun places.......all the way from HSH to the Lighthouse. Have a great time!!
great snorkeling off of Home Sweet Home!

I don't think Sweets stayed there...used to stay at Heartbeat.
Takinitslow...JUST in the area around Home Sweet Home (walkable)...don't miss a nice breakfast at Pee Wees or cold drinks later in the day/evening...Spydas Bar is nearby...the No Limit Bar for cold beer, barrel chicken & delicious fish...you're located near the L&M grocery store...Tayons Bar...CD Country Western Bar offers yummy comfort foods...
You are going to be in a very active neighborhood with lots and lots of bars and restaurants close by! You might never want to leave, lol! But you should - even if just for one day - take a walk heading south (towards the lighthouse) to explore. As far as "side streets" - be careful. Lime Tree Lane is one of those side streets to avoid. But otherwise, you'll have a great time.
Following along the same lines as some of the others. I'd suggest Pee Wee's for an afternoon drink. Catch the sunset at 3 Dives. Head over to De Bar (Both 3 dives and de Bar are a little further down the road). You can hit No Limit on your way back because it seems they don't open until evening. You'll likely pop in across the street at Pee Wee's for one more before heading back to the hotel. If you want to stay in the general area of your hotel then maybe catch sunset at Teddy's on the property of the Blue cave Castle. That will give you a chance to see the Blue Cave Castle for future reference. Teddy's is a little pricy but is worth it. I believe Pee Wee's also does a fish fry on most Fridays and Elvis is available to cook. There's a jerk barrel guy right next to No Limit. I do suggest you get further down the west end if you have the time but there will be so much to do within a short distance of your hotel it's understandable if you don't get too far. There's always next trip!
BGrill is the jerk barrel next door to the No Limit. Bernard does soups, seafood, jerk & sides ~ all made to order :)
