I'm hearing that Sun Beach has good prices
150j at Myrna's and the beach bar next to Coco. Used to be For Real.
The bar next to Coco is closed currently, and I am fairly certain they will not reopen with inexpensive beers. Sun Beach, next to the old For Real offers Red Stripe for $170 now. I have not checked Myrna's store, but I would guess that has gone up as well.
The cheapest beer is about $160j - hard to find anything cheaper at any bar anywhere in Jamaica...

Is 85 US cents worth the effort? Just buy a beer at the closest place!
$2 beers at Sun Beach nice...makes for an easy conversion if the rate is 85/1...very nice to make it easy if you have been drinking for awhile! Aren't there 2 for 1 specials all over the beach? Or is that just hit or miss??

If i had to guess, i think i averaged about 500/J per hour, that is in a beer cooly, more if I forgot the cooly.Cheers
Forgot the cooly ....SHAME ..a cooler full of refreshing beverages and ice is the only thing Mi need worry about whilst in Negril !!

$150 at Sunnyside...beside Rooms. Also check out happy hour at Seasplash from 12-2 and 5-7...$150 there as well.
Red dragon hands down has the coldest cheapest red stripes on da island yea mon!!!!!! And younknow what go there by yourself and relax and have the local walk up and say your a true jamaican at heart. lots lots lots of love in da place. and bring a tag....... much love respect. btw the red stripe has ice on the bottles!!! anyone seen Robert morrision lately man where are you come back I miss you... lol. bless.
With the cost to makum cold not sure why any bar sells them for less than $200!
Only the couple mentioned are under 200J anymore on the beach....

Ya...Canuck...today I noticed a few are now charging the 200J...not making much at 150J...promotional value only....
Totally agree...only bar that actually has frost on the bottles when he cracks them open....think we paid $160 for a Hienekin. A couple frosty beers and a pound of jerk pork to snack on...great place :)Quote:
