OK, the talk in Weathermon's thread got me to thinking... what bar in Negril has the BEST (most comfortable) chairs/stools. For me, it would probably have to be those big chairs at Ivan's Bar at Catcha. OMG I love those chairs!!!! I could sit there for hours enjoying their amazing dirty bananas and fantastic food.
Where is your favorite?

On the beach...Bar-B-Barn, hands down. Or should I say butts down?
Hmmm... in all my trips I have yet to make it to BBB. I rarely get down to that end of the beach but I may have to put that on my "to do" list.

I would have to agree with the chairs at Ivan's bar!
shooter love the view/beach at Treehouse and have spent lots of time in them but I think they are a bit uncomfortable unless they have changed the pads recently! Love that part of the beach though - and love hanging out there.
Bar B Barn for sure...nice and padded and the right heighth
I'm going to have to print this thread so BBB knows " NEVER CHANGE THE BAR SEATS", even if Charlie is sitting next to you!

The rope-swing chairs at Kuyaba...sooooo comfy.
I rarely sit at a bar, mostly stand, I hate those big clunky stools at Ivan,s there is no room to stand, and getting in and out is a project,trying to squeeze out between them. Almost the only place i sit at a bar is Sunbeach I like those bench things, in the back as you get a full view of thye beach traffic and can swing a leg over for a quick getaway!
The Treehouse has nice new big comfy padded chairs

LOL...Charlie "Give me a cigarette" "Do you need a ride"...I Love Charlie..I like to sneek up on him when he is sleeping at the bar!!..Didn't see him last Feb.

That comfy sofa at Canoe - OH YEAAAAA!!!!! Love chillin on that sofa too! And those swing chairs are Kuyaba are awesome too.
I also prefer bars that actually have an overhang so you can put your legs/knees underneath the counter. Very few places in JA have this. Usually your knees are slammed against the wall and you really can't lean on the bar (elbows up). And forget eating at a bar like that. Ya have to pick up your plate to hold it close to you otherwise you end up dropping food in your lap. As a solo traveler, I prefer dining at a bars rather than a table. It's more sociable. So I end up eating more at bars that make it more convenient for a person to do so at one you can actually sit normally at.

Wild Parrot has some comfy bar stools as well, noticed them as soon as I arrived in Feb. I thought to myself, "great, I can actually spend some time at the bar without an sore back". Nice comfy cushions too.....
I don't know about comfy, but I have spent 100's of hours sitting on the pool stools at the swim up bar at Hedo. Awesome nonstop drinks, the staff is always wonderful, and there is ever changing and spectacular scenery.
I am not sure if they meet your qualifications because they are not right at the bar, but the swinging chairs in front of Sun Beach get our vote!!
Good call Orchid, the stools at Wild Parrot are good ones, and you have Richard there for entertainment as well.
Going to have to add Treehouse and Wild Parrot to my list. Those hanging chairs at Sunbeach scare me. LOL
