In remembrance....
One year ago today, I lost my older brother to gallbladder cancer. This boardie family was so awesome, you really helped me through a very tough time. Thank you all again for all of your prayers, thoughts and being there. If anyone ever wonders if we are people who just post messages, you will find that the opposite is true, we are all here for each other. I've never found another place like this and I've never met any of you. I hope to one day.
Bless you all.

Re: In remembrance....
Thank you Eden, cassidygirl.
My brother was going to come with me on my next trip, it would have been his first time. I know he'll be there with me.

Re: In remembrance....
How is his son doing? Yes your brother will be with you in spirit. And nice to hear your Dad is doing well.

Re: In remembrance....
NegrilIrene and Suzangrace - it is always hard to lose a loved one, no matter why. My heartfelt sympathies to you. Let the memories keep you grounded. Life is memories. We all have memories of yesterday, and that was 32 minutes ago! I beleive deep in my being that there is a Higher Power, and a life after death here. I KNOW my parents and my best friend are guiding myself and my family from wherever they are (and doing a good job of it, too, thanks!). Be thankful for the time you had, and for the friends you found when you needed them the most. How surprising is life! The hurt, the feeling of loss, will never go away. But the joy of their having been a part of your life? It will never go away. Let that feeling glow!
Respectfully

Re: In remembrance....
Suzengrace & Negril Irene - I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to both of you.
I lost my brother almost 3 years ago. He was 26 years old and not a day goes by that I don't think about him.
It does get a little easier with time though, now when I see something that reminds me of him or hear someone say something that he always said... It makes me smile now instead of cry. (well, most of the time...)
I treasure all the memories and I know he's still here with me in spirit.
Every year on his birthday I write a message to him on a balloon and release it into the sky.
M&G Montreal said it best - hold onto the memories and be thankful for the beautiful years you had growing up together.
To live forever in the hearts of those you leave behind is to never die.
Love,
Daisy
