Finally it's almost here, my Vacation May 14- May 23 2012

Hello my boardie family,
I'm finally packing last min things ready to finally take that trip back home.Sorry I missed all of you guys last week for the boardie bash etc, but you guys had a ball without me.
I'm thinking of going back in December with the rest of you guys, but well see what's available, so I can finally meet some of you guys.
My favorite place Seastar in filling up fast on the dates that I was looking to go Dec 30-Jan 7, 2013, never been there for New Years yet in all the years that I've been going. I always wonder what it would be like.
Anywho, I'm staying at Rayon Hotel, and Seastar for this 10 day trip. I never stayed at Rayon before , but Ms Pansy sounds really sweet.
I was going to take my niece, but she blew it acting a fool, so I'm going solo again. I've never been to Rayon before, can anyone tell me highlights and what to expect at Rayon(location,etc)?
I seen some pics that was taken by Luvs, but what can I expect? I really like staying on the cliffs when I go solo. I read about the Sun bar, but when is the best time to go?
Where are the cheap eats near the beach with great food. I heard that Rayon have great meals, but I need other suggestions.
Also, since it's near the beach, where is a cool bar, or live reggae spot to hang out while staying near the beach?

I'm a new participant here, boardie in training. Copper350, I'll be at Xtabi 17th fwd with another buddy. Guys ditch girls and head to Jamaica. So, if you want to hang at the cliffs you'll be more than welcome. My first trip to Negril, looking forward to it.

Best in the West definitely for Jerk chicken and delicious cheap patties from the patty guys on the beach are awesome too. I recommend checking out Sunnyside for $1.50 Redstripes and good times. (It's next to ROOMS) Also Seasplash had a great Sunday Sunset webcast party on the beach with live music and a bonfire.

Copper I just completed my 1st solo Trip and thanks to all the sweet boardies here I am going again in December's.they are the best group ever.I really hope you have fun and maybe you can join us in December.have an awesome time.

I will be at Legends from the 16th to the 23rd, me, wife and 2 kids.

I'm new to the board but this will be my 5th time to Negril. My wife and I will be there 5/18-22, staying at beach house villas. hoping for some good weather!

Wow! Glad to read others are going from the board as well. I'm so excited! I'm looking frwd to my favorite jerk chicken from a outside stand called Step Aside, that be out of The Jungle Night club.
Seastar has the best festival just to let everyone who's going next week and ongoing.

Copper...by Sun Bar do you mean Sun Beach? Sun Beach is across from the Rayon & a great beach location to hang out. They're open early am until late pm. Good food...affordable drink!

I stayed at Rayon over Easter weekend, Sun Beach is a great place to hang,drink and eat. I would stay at Rayon again. Quiet place, great location.
