Can anyone tell me what the weather is like in Negril at the moment? I'm going to be there in 10 days for a week. Ive read that May-June is the rainy season. Not sure if that means it rains for days or if it means it can rain briefly once or twice a day.
Im in touch everyday and in the moring early afternoon its nice then about 2 or so starts pouring on and off again the rest of the evening but not as hard as it 1st starts out like.Its still warm though :)

I've been going in late May/early June for the past 17 or 18 years and the weather has never been an issue. I learned some time ago to not worry about the weather.com, etc. forecasts as they usually show a high chance of rain each day during our stays. What this usually means is a brief afternoon shower to cool things down then the sun pops back out and it's hot hot hot until sunset.
I will also add...we only go during June. The weather is nice...the whole day is not ruined by any means.
It will be perfect....... Think about the fun you should be having instead of a likkle rain.
And the Rain water is warm.

Yes its all good...just dance in the rain like I did and then everyone will think your nuts...its nice and warm but does pour pretty hard at times.
I remember all the rain last year... I arrived late afternoon the last day of the week of endless rain. Then it was back to normal, i.e., perfect. I was going in May (years ago for about 5 years), then it's been in June & July for the last 20 years. It doesn't rain every day, usually starts later in the afternoon & then becomes earlier & earlier in the day as the summer progresses. It also does not rain every day. I've kept logs the last few years. 50% - 60% of the time... no rain at all. By mid July it might start raining by noon. Where you stay on the beach also makes a difference. Closer to town... not so much rain. Treehouse, AI area... rain. It's fascinated me for years that it can be as beautiful as can be at Traveller's, Beach Club, Shield's, etc. & it's pouring at the other end of the beach. Some days the rain will travel down & "wet up" that end of the beach; most often, it does not. Rain or not, Negril is a great place to be this time of year.
