Jenny's Restaurant Rumors
Actually not rumors at all, but in fact the truth. Jenny's Restaurant and Famous Cakes has been a Negril mainstay for decades up until Jenny's son Jacko retired last year. The restaurant , a favorite of both tourists and locals, has been closed since then. Well, Jenny's will be reopening in the middle of July under the direction of Jenny's daughter, Dawn, who owns C & D Country Western Pub next door. The word is that Jenny's and C&D will be under one roof. The Restaurant will definitely be open by ATI weekend according to my reliable source (Dawn). Can't wait to get me some ackee and saltfish from Jenny's

Re: Jenny's Restaurant Rumors
Thank you Jah!!! I absolutely adore Miss Jenny's. I'm sure Dawn will do a wonderful job preserving this West End institution. Keeping family involved is a great decision. Looking forward to visiting often in Dec. Last summer and Dec 2011, they were closed and it about killed me! Pray they keep that wonderful lobster salad on the menu. Thanks for the update Negril Bill! :)

Re: Jenny's Restaurant Rumors
yes good cake, 1 type only........
Yes Marko, we also love the breakfast, sitting there watching the world go by, with the fan lightly blowing across your face, sending those cooking smells out into the street......years back you could sit out front.... but traffic got too dangerous...heres what the cake making looked liked in the late 80's.........

Re: Jenny's Restaurant Rumors
Have done a spice cake at Jenny's every Feb for a birthday boy that began traveling with us in 99, we were early this year and didn't need the earth day cake, but the experience was always soft and easy, order 1 day pick up a beautifal cake and small bag of flower a couple days later,,,,,
