Shark's and Westside are great!
Across the road and up the lane is Seastar and their food is AMAZING. Local, American and international items like Periogis (mmmm). Burgers, Sat. buffet, etc. have been raved about by many boardies. Beautiful place too.
Best jerk is at Eddie's DeBar within walking distance but quick delivery by route taxi. ENJOY
Seastar! Big menu. Lots of choices and all excellent. Chris is the inventor of the Coco Bread Pizza.
lol big_frank great minds think alike (lol)
Y'all are killing me with the food!!! ARGH I wish I was there now!
TFW! You just got back, girl! But ... I hear you!
Rockhouse is outstanding. Connie's C&D is good and many people swear by Bella Donna's. And Aubie makes great burgers and other stuff at LTU!
Agree with all the above posts....Sir D's has one great view as well as great food. Generally, stop in ahead of time and let them know what you want and they will deliver big time!! Lighthouse is often ignored but good stuff too. Sharks...oh yeah....Ras Rody's for a nice ital lunch. Erica's is also super. LTU is always good as well as one of the best views on the cliffs.
C&D's/Miss Jenny's...so glad to see that place up and running for a great combo deal!! Don't forget Serious Jerk Chicken and their new spot pon the cliffs...Felix is really a super guy and a great cook. So many places to hit!! Their is a likkle local place, can't recall the name of it to save my soul, but anyhow, it is on the cliffs not far from LTU, heading toward the beach. It is not on the water side but the other side....Mostly locals there and at night, the music can be rather loud....but seriously, the groove is great and the food...good yardie food at a yardie price. FUN place to hit for a change.
The name might come to me later....hopefully...but someone else might know the name. All I know is that where locals eat.....the answer is always...YES! Enjoy.....
LTU Pub is nice, also check out Eddies, Three Dives, and the guy who sells chicken in front of Rick's when the buses start arriving for the sunset show. BTW Ask around for Popa, that would be Charm's father. Charm sells trinkets at her stand near the bus parking area across from Ricks. Popa sells fish that he prepares that tastes exactly like the smoked eel that you get in a sushi bar. That being said, you can get a poor mans surf and turf near Ricks entrance for 400J for the Chicken and 200J for the fish and stroll over to LTU to wash them down with a cold beer.
Plenty of places everywhere....
My wife and I had a feast at Sips & Bites. They dont serve Red Stripes but a guy got me some anyway. Had plates of native food for like $25 bucks, breakfast os good also.
$25 at Sips & Bites Fred? That shocks me. Usually I pay only $6-7US for a huge plate of food there.
I love sips and bites. Their escovitch fish is off the hook (no pun intended). They are very reasonable--but as Fred said he and his wife had a feast--they probably had a few different plates--then add the cost of red stripes and you could spend 25 for two people.
Yetta, I'm so glad to hear Felix & Serious Chicken are back in business!! Where are on the cliffs now?
Thank you everyone for the great information.:)
WestEndGirl,
Felix use to be down Breadnut Lane about 18 months ago or so (just guessing on the time)...It was off the beaten path a bit. However, he moved back out to West End Road. We have known him since the days of Roy and Felix's Jerk Chicken, to the Carrot, and when he was across from Le Mirage , etc.... Such a sweetie indeed. Anyhow, when we were there last December and early Jan., he had his grand opening of his new place. As my memory serves me (which can get a little foggy at times LOL) it is somewhere near Sunset on the Cliffs area. Maybe someone else can be more specific.
It is a good size place and as usual, his chicken and other items were still great! To me, the West End has some of the greatest places to eat in Negril!!
A blast from the past - Serious Chicken's old location on Summerset back in 1997 - click below to check it out!

Best Restaurant near Catcha = Ivan's!
(sorry, couldn't resist that one) hahaha
But in all honesty, I agree with all of the above mentioned. Plenty of good places nearby to eat!
Truly awesome!!! Thanks for the trip back in the "way back machine" Brought back some great memories of our first visit there with a couple from England...on a rainy afternoon when the West End Road was not in great repair. Pot holes everywhere filled with wata as we excited the route taxi...but the best time ever that day!!! Thanks for making this ole gal smile ear to ear!!! :)
Thanks, Yetta. We started eating there when Serious Chicken was near LeMirage. He introduced himself as, "I'm Felix......like the cat." Love his snapper....& the vibe!!! I'm very glad to hear he is back on West End Rd.
