Eat a giant sub before flying and soon after landing.
Ginger...Tea or capsules...or find some candied ginger to munch on...it's good for motion sickness and upset stomachs...
Valium is a flyers best friend......
Dramamine and Bonine are decent otc motion sickness meds but they tend to make you drowsy. I get VERY motion sick when I fly even when using them. For the last 6 or 7 years I have been using the scopolamine patch. You have to see your doctor for a prescription but they are awesome. No drowsiness and no discomfort. Put one behind your ear 4-6 hours before travel and you're good to go.
All of the above suggestions are great advice. I just read an article a day or so ago, which was saying that taking at least 600mg of Ibuprofen before flying is quite helpful for those that feel rather "hungover" after flying. When I use that term, it is not literally...just the feeling. If it is mainly motion sickness, then stick with the above suggestions. Thankfully, I use to get "car sick" but flying has never been a problem for me. Good luck!!
Try to get a good nights sleep before your flight (yeah right, like anticipation hasn't kicked in) No alcohol on the flight - stay hydrated with plenty of water. Bring snack - crackers, cookies, fruit, sandwich. Take a preflight motrin, advil or aleeve (the anti-inflammatory/anti-platelet thing is a good idea) and relax.
I can't sit in the back seat of a car without getting a little car sick but I have yet to have any trouble on a plane. Safe Travels and ENJOY!
Try Dramamine before flight and red stripe after landing
thanks! you all are a huge asset for me thank you
Beebeluv have you ever flown before? Are you taking a night flight or day flight? Night flight you could sleep. Guessing you will have a layover somewhere. Do you take anything for car rides, if you do then take that. I would take some ginger, but I like ginger. Are you going alone?
ive flown and i remember the run to the bathroom in the airport and hours of tummy aches... lol how embarassing... anyway some flights are day some are at night im going to sleep for the night one but most are during the day and i usually drive because i get car sick if i dont, so i was thinking dramamine. is the airport going to be weird about having dramamine or customs? or even if dramamine will work, i dont care if i get drowsy like i want to be awake for the flight...no... i dont mind flying its the "human" factor that isnt pleasant to me... everyone seems to be miserable...hehe i like to be happy so sleep is good
