Negril Tree House is the best
Jackie and Kerri-Ann from from the dining room are the absolute BEST. Three years ago I fell down the stairs at GP on the first day of my trip. I ended up on crutches for the rest of the week and both Jackie and Kerri-Ann helped me navigate to the buffet and made sure I was seated at a table that had easy in and out access. If you need someone to make good egg dishes, Hyacinth is your gal. I've been going to GP for 6 years and am going to miss it immensely. I really hope you can find places for these wonderful people.
Gail - that is so thoughtful. Have been there twice - Hyacinth gets my vote also, great omlettes and a very beautiful smile! And Andrew behind the bar
was awesome!! They actually had a wonderful staff but those two stand out to me.
Big ups to Gail!
thats the way things suppose to go in this life!
One more vote for Andrew :-)
Micheal one of the kitchen managers...Never saw him NOT working. Always courtious and helpful. And Yes Andrew for sure. All the girls in reception were excellent.
GailNegril – You’ve just captured my heart! That’s really awesome of you to want to help out the staff at the Grand Pineapple!
I agree with the above suggestions. Andrew, Jackie, Kerri-Ann, Hyacinth, Pansy, Lucinda, Michael – Everyone in Reception (especially Tayshain) I have to add Patrick, the night guard and Kenneil (entertainment staff) – Everyone at the GP went above and beyond to make our vacations special. The amazing staff is why I’m so sad to see it close. The thought of some of them moving over to the Treehouse makes me so happy. :o
Next time my husband and I go to Negril, We’ll definitely be staying at the Treehouse!
We were already interested in staying there but this post just solidified that decision for us.
Big up Gail!
Please have all contact me
Rohan in the kitchen, Kerri-Anne, Bethune, Marvette, Robert from the dining staff , Andrew the bartender , Annie from the beach--GP had the best staff !
Gail you are a beautiful soul and a woman of such grace. Does anyone have info on Courtney the carver that was onsite at GP? I hope he finds a new home where his work can be showcased and shared. Best to all for this transition.
Big Thumbs up miss Gail!!!!!
That's very nice of you, Gail.
I was wondering: As employees of Sandals corporation, wouldn't the workers be given priority for the next available jobs at Sandals Negril and/or Beaches? It seems that would be fair.
I just called GP and spoke to Keri Ann. I gave her the message to have those mentined call Gail. When I told her about the posts, she was very touched by the concern and care. She is going to pass the message on to Jackie, Hyacinth, etc.
From what I know of past Sandals closings, they do try to place the employees at other Sandals/Beaches resorts, however sometimes that means on other islands.. Some of our favorites from Sandals Dunn's River were placed at the Beaches location in the Turks.. I would imagine for many of the staff members that have families an offer like that wouldn't be too appealing..
I will go where ever Courtney (Carver) is. I always bought something
from him and he was always making something that was for each
individual who requested something. Love that man
Courtney was always very much a gentleman.
