So i am getting married in Negril in Febuary and i am trying to find something really romantic to do one day or night. I would love to hear things other people have done to get some ideas from. Thanks John

I haven't done it yet but have it reserved for our anniversary in December. The Night of 100 Candles at Ivan's at Catcha Falling Star on the west end. Do a quick search and you should find other posts about it.
Has anyone ever done the candle-lit cave dinner at The Caves? Do you have to stay there to do it? Looks real romantic if your into that kind of thing.
but yeah....Catcha. Thumbs up
Thanks to all who responded i e-mailed catcha about having dinner there i think it looks great.
Take a ride (about 30 minutes) past the lighthouse to Jackies on the Reef. It's a fabulous place, totally quiet and peaceful. Get the oceanside couples massage. We think they have the best masseurs in Negril, and you will feel as if there is noone else on the planet! Afterward you can relax in one of the natural seawater pools, and get wonderful food and drink at the outdoor bar. All good and good for you! Here are a few pics (not the best, but you get the idea - it's a lovely retreat. Attachment 16416Attachment 16417Attachment 16418
Thanks Mrs Wilson that looks cool
Negril is one of the most romantic places on earth, you can hardly take a step without encountering another romantic possibility. Here are a few of mine -
Sunrise coffee on the pier at German Bar
Sunrise coffee on the sofas at Canoe, looking at the pier at German Bar
Long walks on the beach
Long walks on West End Road
Sunset at Sir D's
Roaming the grounds at the Westender
Finding a secret spot in the cliffs and making it yours (there are many, I can give you a few if you like)
Swimming in Josephs Cave
The Rock Table at Rockhouse for dinner
Exploring the caves at Xtabi
Getting a room with a private verandah
Getting a room with an outdoor shower
Eating a fresh soursop together and cleaning each other up
Packing some fruit in a knapsack when you venture out so you can take advantage of that "Perfect Picnic Spot" you just stumbled across
chaise lounges at the cliffs edge late at night
Sunset and the night of 100 candles at Ivans
For trips I would recommend Percy's Riverside Retreat, Mayfield Falls, YS Falls, Pelican Bar and Half Moon Beach
Have a great time and love it up!!
Does anyone know more about the night of 100 candles at Ivans? How far ahead do you need to let them know about it? Is it still $150 and is that per person or for two?
I don't see any official info when I google it, most details I could find were:
http://negril.com/forum/showthread.p...ndles-at-Ivans
All you have to do is email Mauvette / Andrea at Catcha
stay@catchajamaica.com
or
catchafallingstar2@gmail.com
The cost is for 2, everything included from appetizers, entree, wine/champagne, dessert
How far in advance depends on the time of year I would guess...they only do one seating a night so it would depend on availability and demand
Just email them your date and they will respond with a confirmation, its as easy as that.
Enjoy!
I just got a reply e-mail from them and its 159us not sure about reservations yet waiting on a response.
