anybody stay at bourbon beach

we haven't booked a place for the 1st night of our arrival...We are looking into the special bourbon beach has, 50.00 room
40.00 food and drink credit...we hung out at bourbon beach several times and went to several parties there in the past.
Can't remember rooms or hottub that they are talking about. Are they new? We are not very hard to please, cold a/c and safety.
we arrive on sunday, so no party, but dont think the the music will affect us, anyway. stayed at grand pineapple at alfreds was not
a problem...we move to down to legends the next day so it would b convenient to move...any other suggestions for one night?

just saw markos post on bourbon beach....guess i should search a little before posting....marko u have been providing valuable info the my wife and I use since we started going to negril...

Rooms would be a good spot for your one night.

mi was there in July or 10 days and had a blast......
they are working hard to get the place in top shape.......
mi going back this coming weekend so mi guess mi like the deal and the place.....tuff to beat.....

we arrive sunday sept 2nd....thanks marko for the reply...and you to jaherring, rooms and nbcc are also in the running, we stayed at nbcc last reach, and rooms has been recommended as well....

there is $40 credit for drink and food so the rooms works out to a likkle over $20 a night including taxes if you use the $40 credit each night....
which is pretty easy to do mi think.........it is one of the best deals in Negril in a long time........

marko, how's the security? i stayed next door and heard commotion throughout each night at boubon beach, lots of local traffic throughout the night . . . has that changed any? . . . i have reservations about staying there for that reason.

When did you stay next door to Bourbon Beach? If it was before May, then you never experienced the place with the new management. That changed things considerably....

That would explain it then! To be fair, give the new management a chance - they are doing an incredible job!

security is actually quite good and mi was with 5 guys and none of us had any problems nor any quests have problems......
there is only one way in and out via some stairs to the second floor rooms so security is very good.......
the head of security at night use to be a Negril Policemon and he runs a tight ship there........
the place has quite a bit of activity, so if you aren't use to that, it would take some adjusting........

so, back to my original statement of a lot of activity all night long, even if it was in april before the new management . . . i don't know, i'd have to rethink a booking there . . . there are a lot of unattended children roaming around bourbon beach during the day and way into the night . . . i was at a bonfire and wonderful music late in april and the same kids that played there all day were still there late into the night begging food . . . it's difficult to watch the kids being shooed away from that property . . . who do they belong to?

thanks for the replies, I think we are gonna take the deal, hard to beat it...It is only one night for us....our main concern is a/c and safety...I think we can make do...does anyone know if ann still does ...massages and stuff right there near bourbon beach....spent several afternooons hanging out there and became friends with ann....also my wife saw somewhere that artist/carver/rasta garrieth reid was back on the beach, anyone know where to locate him?

we didn't really see any children when we were at Bourbon Beach in July........you sure you are talking about the same place...
it's an adult place and mi saw a few children with their parents when they came to use the facilities on like a Sunday the parents day off........

there is only one way in and out of the rooms and that is via stairs.........
and yes all of the rooms are on the second floor of the main building........
so you'd have to be spiderman to be able to get to the rooms at Bourbon Beach without using the stairs.........
cause security watching dem stairs like a hawk.....deal ends Sept 30th....snooze you loose........

Now that's a great plan......

Never stayed there before but was planning to on my next trip in December for 10 days. Spent most of my days and evenings there. The bar staff are awesome and the drinks are very good and reasonable priced. They also show movies three nights a week and everyone has a blast. I hope you do end up staying there because you might not want to leave.

well mi must have liked the place if mi going back so soon..........glad mi having the chance again on Friday........

Marko...that picture looking towards Bar-B-Barn is killing me! We stayed there a few days back in March and went to bed real late every night with the music from Bourbon Beach still going strong! Great memories....I want to go back so bad

Marko, do you have any pics of the rooms and the layout of the accommodations? Or can you take some on your upcoming visit? I tried to check the photos on the website but had technical difficulties getting them up. I am seriously considering staying there if I can swing a trip before the offer expires-- it is too good to pass up! Also I like that part of the beach-- have stayed at Bar B Barn many times.

Apparently so...:)!

Just got back, and although we didnt stay there, we spent lots of time there. Ends up Kevin is from our home city, and my friend went to high school with him, only in Negril. Its definitely on my list of places to stay on a solo trip, maybe in nov. Have some pictures but havnt uploaded yet.
