Where in Negril is your favorite pizza?
I'd like to add that the place has rare selection of wines for Negril and I guess Jamaica as well :-)
Any good deep dish places Rob? I mean, I came in here expecting a pizza place! :p
Just kidding, looks good but really, it would be awesome to take Jamaican influences and apply it towards a nice deep dish pizza, there is just so much more you can do to the pizza than you can do to a thin crust....
Hands down, the BEST grilled lobster pizza....
deep dish sucks :P
jk
but that pizza looks really good...throw some lobster on it and my day is made.
That pizza looks delicious, I LOVE thin crust. And only a few steps from BCC. Another stop added to our list for February (after I get my jerk chicken fix of course)!
I tried the Jerk Chicken Pizza after the One Love bus crawl at Ciao Jamaica, and It was FANTABULOUS!!!! Definitely on the list of Must go to for 2013!!!! The funny thing, I usually HATE chicken on a pizza!
Tamboo, I agree. Last reach tried them and it was delish!..
Haven't tried too many (yet). Angela's (above BarBBarn) used to be my favorite.....until I went across the street to the Sunrise Club and it was amazing (also pastas, etc.).....then tried Ciao Jamaica and it was SUPER good (like you Walleye I tried Jerk Ckn and others and they were DELISH).
I have heard Sea Star Cocobread Pizza is good, Bella Donna and is it Itialian Cafe on the beach road? So I guess I only have a favorite for a minute til I try the next one (lol)
We like the pizza at Sunrise Club very much! Best espresso/cappuccino in Negril as well.
I like Jamaica Tamboo. I also used to get pizza from Chances... that was a few years ago... are they still around?
Tamboo has AWESOME pizza. Well known for their lobster pizza!
(It's not pizza but Tamboo has some rockin' gingerbread pancakes too!)
WE tried the lobster pizza at Tamboo last trip, and it was good. We also had it at the Italian cafe, but the pizza at Sunrise club was the best! so far!
Yes, Chances is still there. And they make great pizza. Cheap, not fancy, the kind of place where you can show up in a bathing suit, and no one blinks an eye. We make sure to eat there a couple of times each visit. But we also discovered Italian Cafe, on the last few trips. Great pizza and pasta.
We went to Chances one evening after WAY too many Red Stripes. Of course, pizza is top of the list at that point. While we were waiting (Soon Come!) they had a bobsleigh on display. We were doing handstands on it...riding in it... and laughing so hard we were crying. We had the staff amused with our antics - but the pizza came really quickly... to get us out of there!
Try Cafe Italian
Does anyone remember Mr. Slice pizza. Used to love there pizza but don't think they are still around, not sure though.
Mr. Slice had great pizza....miss that place! Last year we tried out Italian Cafe...good pizza and pasta there.

We hope you enjoy the Blasts from the Past!
Chances on the beach has really good pizza. Stop there every year.
Last year we stayed at Fun Holiday and by the 8th day we were all craving pizza. We asked the manger at the hotel and they gave us Chaydens Pizza phone number. It was an awesome pizza and we got it loaded, only ate half of it between the 4 of us and gave our housekeeper the other half to take home, you would have thought we gave her a hundred dollars, she was smiling big time!!
had a couple of slices at bella donnas on the sept 8th pub crawl...my wife loves pizza and she loved bella donnas pizza...
our favorite is Chances, best jerk chicken pizza, soon come
Gotta go with Chances and the jerk chicken pie too. Easy walk down the beach to pick it up and delicious.
the last word on mr slice was he moved to dubai and was making pizza there.
the trick for italian cafe is to ask them to double the dough, but make it the same size.
echoing on those who threw down for sunrise club (best cappucino/espresso by far) also should take their calzone for a spin.
OK now Bourben Beach is offering pizza, will check it out in november.
One of my fondest memories is the delicious Mr. Slice Pizza from the West End Road location.
The tables inside were old wooden cable spools.
Their delivery man was a Rasta with long dreads and he drove a Lada.
Let me just amend that to read: One of the Mr. slice delivery men drove a Lada.
The very first time we had it delivered, a Kid on a bicycle with a carrier on the front for the pizza came to our room at Samsara to deliver.
That would have been 1998.
For pizza in Negril, do NOT waste your time at Treehouse resort... frozen discs of cardboard with cheap cheese with sauce that's way too sweet.
I did not enjoy the pizza at Treehouse my last reach but remember a previous reach it was better .... Angela's is quite good, the little restaurant on the second floor at BB Barn They make it home made dough style .... Seastar Inn isn't bad either. .... The lobster pizza at Tamboo had American cheese last time, but the lobster part was good.
WE just had the lobster pizza at Tamboo in August and it wasnt american cheese.

What is American cheese?
HA...good question, Dash. I don't know what American cheese is either.
Maybe it was Tastee cheese on the pizza...but that's a Jamaica brand cheese product.
LOL. One time on a trip to Toronto, one of my buddies ordered a cheeseburger with American cheese. The server responded, "American cheese? What's wrong with Canadian cheese?"
But anyway, I agree that any type of yellow cheese on pizza is non-traditional, but can still be good if it's the right consistency.

Unless this is yet another Euphemism I completely missed out on.
