One of the great benefits of staying at Bourbon Beach is that Kevin, the owner of Bourbon Beach, takes customers up to the landing for the boats for the Pelican Bar free of charge when he goes there, which is a couple times a month usually.
excellent tip to share Miss Negril. I would ck him for sure and see if timing works and catch a ride and offer to help with gas. That is really cool of him.
Under the Transportation link you will see Chicken Bus and he is a wonderful driver and host. Of course most cost effective is to get a group together to share cost but I would check with him for sure. I went to Pelican Bar with him in April and it was a trip I will never forget. It is a REALLY cool place.

Rocky advertised a Thursday Special for $100 pp. It's YS water falls, Black River safari, and the Pelican Bar with a minimum of 4 persons.

uggh. its just 2 of us. we need 2 more people i guess.. if anyone on here wants to do it with us we will be in Negril all of next week 9/23 to 9/30.
I don't know if he is the absolute cheapest, but Rocky has taken us to the PB twice, and he will be our choice again in early December. Rocky has always treated us right. Our annual trip to the PB we set up with him is the only " must do " we have on our vacation agenda.
If you are going on a South Coast tour consider going to Border Jerk Center in Mackfield for lunch. Mackfield is an easy sidetrip when you are going on the South Coast / Pelican Bar area tour. Great jerk and much lower prices than Negril. Trust mi man, you will love it.
we used clives a couple of years ago and they seemed to be the best at that time. look at their web site for current rates. i would be careful about free rides because of the insurance issue. it's a great place to spend the day!!!
I'm quite sure you could charter a red plate taxi for a South Coast tour for $200 + tip for the entire day!
We found that rates for the ride alone will cost you well over $100. You will also pay about $60 for the boat ride out to the Pelican Bar.
the price is still $140 on clives website, we shared the ride with another couple with clives @ $140 for 4 people. the driver called floyd and the boat ride was $10pp. give them a call to verify prices.
Here is the best I have seen, I emailed to confirm prices, up to 4 people round trip is $110.00 you pay you own way on the boat ride out. By far the best price I have come across...

Visit the Pelican Bar, the most unique rustic ocean bar found anywhere. You will take a short [15 - 20 minute] boat trip from Parottee to Pelican Bar located one mile off shore in Parottee Bay on south coast between Black River and Treasure Beach. The Pelican Bar sits in the middle of a pelican inhabited sandbar, is round shaped, and made completely of driftwood. We suggest that visitors bring a sharp object, and a dark marker so you can carve your name on the floor, wall, or wherever space you can find to do so. You can enjoy a cold Red Stripe, Guinness, Heineken, and feast upon a dinner of freshly caught fish, and lobster prepared especially for you while you swim, snorkel, or just relax. If you like to CHILL, the Pelican Bar is the right place to be.
This tours tour departs around 8:00 a.m. and your return time depends upon where your accommodations are located and how long you wish chill at the Pelican Bar. The tour may be scheduled for any day of the week from Negril , Lucea [Grand Palladium], Montego Bay area resorts/hotels.
Round Trip Tour Transportation from Hotels/Resorts in: Negril $110 USD (1 - 4) persons; Lucea [Grand Palladium] 120 USD (1 - 4) persons; Montego Bay: $140 USD (1 - 4) persons. These rates are for transportation only, and do not include the cost for the boat trip.
