~~ Sweetness Trip Report - Catcha Falling Star Gardens

ok back in bidness....camera working so other than operator error I can share some good photos.

This is my first time at Catcha Falling Star Gardens. Its located a ways out West End between Citronella and Villa Sur Mer. LTU Pub is right across the street. It is a gated property with night security. A key is provided to enter and leave the property. The place is private and quiet which I love. At yetta's suggestion I asked for Ginger Lily which has a HUGE veranda facing the sea and a sea view across the road over LTU's roof. Sweet for sure. THe staff is very helpful especially Wayne who helps with everything you need. I already trust and respect him after only a few days.

My room is clean and comfortable. It has rained and been cool since I arrived so the fan is plenty to keep cool. I have window on two of four walls and good sea breeze. Living room area is in the photo but there are two doubles and a separate bath and wardrobe and fridge near the entrance.

Finally settled in - it takes me a few days. The rain stopped at dusk and the most gorgeous sunset snuck up on my unexpectedly. Didn't get it in full glory but a few quick shots thru the trees of the colors will have to do. more soon come.....Attachment 17654

Room looks fantastic ....

yes gerry the rooms are super nice. Vaulted wood ceilings to feel HUGE. Excellent bargain.

The room does look open and airy Tarra, hope you're settling in. :cool:

hey spottycatz's - yep finally settled. Takes me about 3 days. First day still trying to rush and ck tingsout. Second day start chillin out a bit more and by third day....on island time lol. By fourth day it feels more like home than home.

Love Catcha Gardens-best value for the fantastic,large rooms, and Wayne and Jane and rest of crew are the best....One of my fav.places to stay on the west end..

Looks very nice! Is Ginger Lily the only room with a seaview? If not the only, the best?

Hi Melody......there is another unit over the office that might have a bit of a view but Ginger Lily up is the only one with large veranda and seaview. It is right on the road by the gate so lots of activity but I love the sounds of Jamaica so its great to me. They have a full apt (June) that looks amazing and all the units have nice big porches. Units by the pool are more quiet. Their website shows all the units. Different people like different things. Store within walking distance is nice too.

So this might be a stupid question. But are the 2 catchas related? And can us use the other's facilities during the day time?

I think they are related somehow by ownership but are completely separate facilities and no use between the two - both private for use of their guests only. Its a good question.

Dang Sweetness...now I'm going to have an even harder time reserving my room at CG! Too much exposure :p Have been emailing Jane back and forth today for a weekend the end of October and the villa I originally wanted is occupied =( BUT I was in Ginger Lilly before and liked it, and it IS available for my dates so I might just grab it.

It really is a nice place to relax. Hope you are enjoying your stay..even though the rain has been crazy!

Rastagal....you will love it.....and sorry about giving attention to Catcha Gardens but I love and talk about every place I stay so I can't help it.......more soon come.

please keep sharing, Sweetness! I have been curious about that property for a long time now. Seeing your fab JA produce, dreaming of pears tomatoes cheese and coco bread and cooking up Thyme in everything is putting me in a good mood. And just missing those sights, sounds and smells so much that are a daily part of the runnings there.
