If you happen to stop in ny there's plenty of carribbean shops in brooklyn (Flatbush ave)that sell it.
Shoprite has it at certain locations. It's about $1.25 for a little glass bottle of it. I have a bunch at home sitting around.
Well never mind. no shoprites in ND lol
They actually carry it at our Target Superstore now (lucky us)
but before then we could only find it at Caribbean markets and Jamaican Restaurants
A couple time a year, we have a jamaica night at our house. I but a couple cases of Ting off of Ebay (just search) and patties also. Yeah, 4 sleeps for me.
Yeah..the website comes to 3$ a 20 ounce bottle if you buy by case after shipping..ouch..have a supertarget here but highly unlikely there..thanks for the ebay heads up Phil and Cindy..no Jamaican stores or restaurants in Fargo...lol..damn
Its would be a bit of treck north Fargoman, but Superstore in Winnipeg carries the glass bottles in the imported food section. We don't have a cross-border shopping trip planned at the moment...otherwise I would offer to hook you up!
Besides Shop Rite, we have no problem finding Ting @ Weis and Wegman's, for those of you in or around the tri-state area. I've noticed most grocery stores have it in their international food sections.
Fargoman, an equally long trek would be to the Twin Cities. There are several places that stock it here. Do you have any Asian stores in Fargo? Many of them here carry Jamaican products.
Yes Ras Walleye..I get there there 2 or 3 times a year...Any names you can throw my way? We have some asian stores here..might do a quick check..Thanks CherryNorth49..I had a friend come down from Winnipeg but didn't know could you had it there..thanks for the offer..half the cars in Fargo are from Manitoba I swear buying stuff here!
Sun Foods in Brooklyn Center or St.Paul is usually reliable. We even find Pink Ting there from time to time. Guy-Am Grocery in North Mpls. and Asian Market in Fridley also usually have it.
ask your local grocery stores if they will get it for you,we have harris teeters in n.c. that will get you anything you want if possible. good luck!!!
Publix carry's it...as well as lots of other Jamaican items. Yes, I am spoiled....lol :D
You can also try any Latin grocery stores as they seem to stock it as well.
Who knew, it can also be used as an anti-fungal jock itch spray...:p
Hmm. I am not much for going into norristown, but bless you for this information. I generally have to wait til birthday or Xmas for my sis inlay to send it from Boston of all places....I guess I will be making a Saturday trek to norristown (green lane pa, here... West of Harleysville)
Finally made it out to the ntown shoprite. Not really sure why I went, leaving for ja in a little over a week, but have had a craving for ting. Bought 10 bottles, came home had one after they chilled and was like.... This is wrong... Read the bottle, it is made in Canada.... An well, at least it was a reasonable facsimile.
Costco has it
We were going through pics from last year, Timm, pretty sure we have about half a dozen with half of you in them :)
Took a load of pictures from the bridge, and you are in the background on many.... I think.
Ya, gotta watch out for the fake Red Stripe.....brewed in Latrobe, PA....ring any bells?
Rolling Rock....RIP....
Looking for my Ting fix in the Chicago area....has anyone had luck finding it here?
this is sorta off topic, but..
when we were in Treasure Beach over the holidays, I noticed that Ting was hard to come by.
seems like most stores were selling Schweppe's grapefruit soda in plastic bottles.
huge bummer.
hope it's not a forever change.
where i live, we can buy Ting at the international markets, but it's made in Canada.
NoWorries...I've seen it in the Asian/Mexican stores in Madison so you should be able to find it around Chi in the same type of places.
Yep! And have you noticed the same is true at MBJ airport?
I used to always buy my last ting while waiting for my departure. I would savor every last drop on the flight home, but the last two trips, April 2012 and Dec/Jan 2013 there is no Ting to be found any longer at the airport, only the Schwepps and it is definitely not the same
What is up with that?
If you have Cub stores in Fargo (don't remember seeing one...but wasn't looking either) you may find it in their international foods aisle....we find on occasion at our Cub in the south Twin Cities... ask the mgr at your local grocery store if they can order for you...bet that they can!! good luck on your search...looking forward to Ting again!
