~~ Sweetness Trip Report - Miles of Smiles

Business in town this morning (well mid morning lol)....stop over at LTU to drop the waitress Opal a pair of earrings she love.....I must admit I have hundreds of earrings so its good to recycle some.......she was smiling big when I left and that made me appy.

Steps down to Mr Fixit jewelry table, been meaning to stop ova and glad I did. I picked up a rasta beaded necklace for Wayne for his birthday (caretaker at CFSG) and a JA braclet and pretty shell pendant necklace for myself.

Couple more steps I hear "Hey Sexy" but this time not like all the udder time I ear a voice behind me say it (lol) I recogize the voice of my long long time heart now man child Mathis (you all know im well). We hug up and I tell him come by layta - off he went to dive across from Ricks.

Few more steps I am jus past Ricks and I here my name dis time (lol). Another day in the neighborhood. Its our long time friend Willie who drives a taxi and his wife my long time dear friend from Heartbeat. (shout out Rambo) We hug up too and laugh at life. I tell him we will call and set up a time to all get together - we somehow manage each reach tho everyone is busy.

Mus get to town so grab a taxi and handle my stuff in town. It was so hot and muggy today woooo weee but mi no complain cuz mi eer and appy :-). Stop in to ck BarBBarn and it is OPEN so I hang out for couple hours. The lovely HOPE is there and so many blessings flowing. I buy a cup of juice for fisherman I know long time that runs the boaht there. When he leaves he brings me not one but FOUR perfect likkle conch shells. I almost cry (don't take much tho ha). Sit a bit longa and have some food - small size jerk chicken lunch - was nice and tender and good sauce. Met a local guy name Smiley - used to wk there and lives in Orange Hill. So nice. We enjoyed the vibes and I treat him to a cup of blended fruit and he later gave me a gift small but flavorful.

Stopped off inna yaad where my boys stay and talk with Pamela. She say I knew you were here someone told me (lol). Yes I say mi know how news travel inna Negril. The boys hug me tight and enjoy some bubble gum I had for them. I promise to come back by when I can stay longa.

It was a great day and really I didn't do anything exciting or unusual. I love Jamaica.

p.s. SOooooo quiet on the beach today - and the green juice on the bar was Cucumber~~ w/lime and ginga. Mmmmmmmmmm. but I found MILES of SMILES

p.s.s oh and yes Mathis' hair is yellow AND orange but somehow looks so cool (lol) always mine dat boy!

Yep Tizzbit they are still here. I was buried in paperwork yesterday so no chance to hang with them but tonight......BENTLEYs for dinner (my first time) it should be GREAT.

Yes Marley I leave for Kingston in the morning on Knutsford Express for a cross island adventure lol. Change of plans and Kevin had to go today to renew his passport and expedite delivery for Thursday OY. Talk about last minute scramble. He went from Cave this morning to Negril and we just met to exchange papers, then to Rose Hall north of Mobay to pick up the Medical envelope for the interview then he is going to try to travel all the way to Kingston before the passport office closes today. He wanted to try so my prayers are with him all day.

Just remember (and you can take this from a lesson I learned 2 years ago today)....things might be hard, the journey might be a struggle and things might not go like you had planned or hoped, but in the end when you hold the hand and look into the eyes of the man you love and you know that you will get to spend the rest of your life with him.....it will ALL have been worth it!
