Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
My first reach way back when was hedo and one day i observed a woman holding up a check book and crying and screaming at her husband find more money I dont want to go home,,, I didnt know where she was coming from but now i do,,, So what is the excuse you have used to stay longer or extend, ever sought out a doctors slip? lol.
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
The flight was overbooked and actually had to stay another day. No problem because my ride had not yet left and we went back to Negril and continued partying!!!!! The whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Keep smiling,

Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
i have been extended thanks to air jamaica several times - one time got extended so long - i knew i had to leave and get back to work
i want to invent a little machine that when you call your work and report that you are not coming in - you can choose a hurricane background sound or an ambulance background sound, hospital sounds or a airport delay background sound . . .
never got a doctor's note -- good thought though! lol
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
We were waiting at Sangster for our oubound flight when they announced there was a problem with our plane. Fast forward and we were set up at Holiday Sunspree (sp?) for an extra night and half day...all inclusive. The airport allowed me to call my birdsitter on their dime and flew us home first class to boot the following afternoon...sweet! Extra sweet our next 3 week reach.(Feb, 2013)..after returning home we will have 4 days to "upwind" before returning to work.

A certain hotel on the Cliffs that happens to be my favorite can set you up with a doctor's note, no prob .... ya mon.
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
Talk to Rob or Lisa re: Doctor's Note for ear infection/ache.
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
I've only extended once (so far lol)....this last April, you were there haha
Reason:
Met hot surfer boy...and a bunch of cool friends. Was having WAY too much fun. The day I was scheduled to leave was the day before his birthday AND the boardie bash.
No brainer :p
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
i was not ready to leave so I asked my friend if I can stay longer and she said yes. So I called the airline and changed my flight and called my job and told them that I would be in next week.

 too late, there's a bar (the Safe House) here in Milwaukee that has had "the Alibi booth" for decades, a phonebooth where you select the background noise while you make your call
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
We DEF need to see about getting an alibi booth for Negril haha That is too funny!

Not extending a stay but along the same lines. I'd rented some of my TS time & the person had to cancel. Sigh... I was going back home only to go on vacation w/ my on & off boyfriend. Turned out some crazy ex of his (during one of our off periods) wanted another chance & he decided to give it to her (Didn't work out - ha ha. I warned him.) I went home, did laundry, & booked a flight back to Negril. I was back 2 days after I left. It was that much of a delay because I had to stay overnight in MoBay due to plane problems. Nutshell... got home a day late, talked w/ him, booked my flight back, got another week in Negril. I could have waited a year for my next trip... nah!

Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
A few years ago my stay was extended by a hurricane. Didn't hit the island directly but it messed the airport up enough that there were no planes. I had an extra 3 days!
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
Wow Baghera, thats my story too..my first trip to JA our trip was extended by 4 days due to Hurricane Dean...but WE were newbies and nervous during that time and couldnt wait to leave and go home...NOW! I would pay a hurricane to hit but do NO damage for an extended stay! LOL
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
lol...you need to be in charge of all Hurricanes ..."hit and No damage"..that would be great...........
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
No, but we tried to bribe a captain and first officer (if at first you don't suceed ....) on Air Canada! Didn't work.
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
Last trip we extended by 4 days before we even left, didn't tell anybody that we had done it. Called my boss on the day we were supposed to be leaving and told her that my ears did not equalize after my dive the day before and was told I couldn't fly until they did ..... she ended up taking that time out of my sick days instead of my vacation because it was "out of my control" ....... man I hope she doesn't read this board :)
Re: Anyone ever use or need a doctors slip to stay longer?
Rambo yea man I'm working on it! Hahaha
