We tried - REALLY we did - we booked a place at Runaway Bay for November.. BUT WE JUST COULDN'T DO IT! So back to Negril we come!! I would like to hear from those that traveled with our dear friend Alfred to hear who they are traveling with now.. We miss our dear friend, it won't be the same without him..
i always use Clives and haven't had an issue with them. Just look for DeShawn or one of the other greeters with a Clive uniform shirt and you will be in good hands. Cold Red Stripe/Juice/Wata is available for you and if you need to rent a phone they will have one ready for you.
My first time without Alfred as well and I will truly miss him.
I've opted to ride with Chicken Magic Bus Tours! If he could handle all the Boardies who rode with him in April, I think he is prepared for all!

Everyone has their favorite for sure, which is great, that means there are some good options out there but Chicken is more like family to me then a driver. I will always use him and always recommend him, he is a great driver and friend and he always goes above and beyond for all of his customers.

We're looking someone else to travel with also. This will be our first trip without Alfred. The trip from Montego Bay to Negril was always a highlight of our trip. Never a dull moment. LOL Sigh.

IMHO a private transfer is by far the best way to go. No waiting for stragglers. No unwanted stops. Stop where and when YOU want for what YOU want or need. Add in a great personality and it's well worth a likkle extra cash. Now just to find the right guy.........

He may not be the cheapest but in my opinion he is the best. It's like a friend picking you up at the airport. Any stops you want, no problem!

We all seem to have our favorite drivers and yes, they become friends and family. I've been using Rocky's Taxi & Tours for a number of years. Always very punctual service at a fair price.
We are going to give Kingsley a try. He had good rates for private transfer. We will be there next Wednesday. We have also used Alfred several times in the past and will miss him. He was our driver when we were there for our honeymoon and we enjoyed hanging out with him at Xtabi one day.

I have to agree with hiring Kingsley. I emailed him a bunch of questions before my reach and he responded to every one of them quickly and professionally. He was there way ahead of time to pick us up and stopped where ever we asked along the way. He also rents phones.
We used Kingsley for the first time in February for a trip to Mayfield Falls, he's a great guy and good driver, recomended for sure.

I sent Chicken an e-mail - No response in the last four days or so.. Is that normal? Should I look for an alternative or wait till he gets back to me?
Rev- funny enough I just talked to him earlier today and he mentioned he hadn't received an email I had sent him a few days ago and he asked me to resend it. I just resent it and now waiting to see if he gets it.
Try resending your email.
If no response you can always call him. If you call him you can just let it ring a couple of times and then hang up, he will call you right back, that way you can talk to him without running up your bill.
I usually just email him, never had a problem, but if it's important I will call him.
If I talk to him again today I will mention that there should be an email from you as well
