Does anyone know approx how long it would take to get a letter from Jamaica to the US? Sending it regular mail, just a regular size envelope. Debated on Fedex but it is super expensive, but if it will take weeks to arrive might go that route anyway. Anyone know?
My own experience has been approximately 2 to 3 weeks... I got home before some of the postcards arrived. :)
ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE - Is there anyone going back to the States who could carry your letter and mail it when they get here? That might be an option. That's what Fr. Jim does - after church he asks who's going home and they get the packet of mail to send off.

10 days to 2 weeks
FedEx is pricey. A couple years ago I needed to send a one page document for a court case. I couldn't just fax it because they needed it signed, and notarized.
That cost me $47 and change for 2nd day delivery.
About a year ....
10 days to about 17 days and vice versus.........
seems to take longer than it use to(90's) which was always at 10 days......

How different from the day..
Used to send a an airmail letter on "airmail paper" and hope to get a response within a month or two..
Tomorrow I will call my son and tell him to pick me up at Sangster

Lol, About 5 years ago I mailed a postcard in January from Negril and it got to its destination in Oklahoma the next year in April, 15 months later.
I have found DHL to be less expensive than FedEx when I send things to Jamaica.
I had experienced about 7 to 10 days from Negril to US
However, I can assure you it is definitely faster from Negril to US than the other way (from US to Negril)
Last year we mailed Christmas cards to friends in Negril and Kingston, we sent them out in November and they arrived in February! lol
Does the post office there offer any expedited options equivalent to US Priority? I will be back in 7 weeks but was hoping to have this to me before that. Just checked FedEx again and it's $50. That is just crazy for a regular envelope ! Ugh!

RG...from Jamaica to the US which I think you are asking...Fedex & DHL is the only quick & tracked option...thus the price!
