Roy's Report - Day 3 - Road Trip plus Dinner at Bentley's

This was a day that I was really looking forward to. We like to get out and take road trips. Plus we were going to have dinner at Bentley's Crab House.

Rocky's driver, Wayne, picked us up at Coco. We made a quick stop at the Scotia Bank ATM to withdraw J$30,000. Then we were off to Bentleys' to tell him what we wanted for dinner and to pay him.

First stop of the day was at the Peter Tosh Mausoleum. I am a huge fan of Peter's so this was a must stop for me. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with the place (compared to Nine Mile). Admission price is high ($20) and there really isn't much to see. We were fortunate that Peter's mom was there. Still, it was a huge thrill to pay my respects to Peter.

Next we were off to YS Falls. We just had to stop along the way in Middle Quarters for some of those delicious mountain pepper Shrimp. Mmm.

That was a very long day. Lot of time riding in the car. Pick up at 8am and back at Coco by 8pm.

I've been wanting to go to the Rum factory for years, love that stuff. Gravity always kicks in somehow though.

We has Wayne for our ride back to the Airport, he is a blast as well as Rocky and Presley that we loved. Did the YS Falls, but I'm so jealous that we didn't get to do the Rum Factory, now we have an excuse to go back. Sadly I didn't do enough research on Negril and we missed Bentleys as well. It looks fantastic, as do you and the Mrs! Glad you enjoyed it.

That rum factory tour is still on my list too,one of these days, well Bentley,s I am goin there this nov. for sure!

I am going to Bentleys too. No way am I going to miss that smile. Roy, your pix are terrific, I feel like I am with you on the road trip. Don't know how to eat those shrimp though. Is it like lobster, twist off the tail?

Love the pictures from YS Falls - Those are HUGE pepper shrimp by the way. The ones I had seemed smaller and didn't have claws!
Wayne was our driver to Negril on our last trip. He's awesome! It's really nice seeing him again

Does Bentley cook/serve non shellfish dishes?

i have a picture of Bentley right behind me at the office. he has the exact same smile but looks like he's put on 30 lbs or so.
business must be good.

Kinda look like big crawfish to me,dont look like shrimp-dem look good anyway.If its peppered its good in Ja.:)

He most certainly does. He makes a great escovitch snapper, brown stew chicken, and fried chicken.

And have you seen the HUGE plate of spaghetti and meatballs he made Booger?
