Arriving on Jan 14 and am staying at Westender. Will probably spend most of my time there or elsewhere on the cliffs but would also like to get to the beach. Where is a good place to hang out? I tried Legends last March but it was jam-packed & got shooed away from a couple of other places by security. Is Margaritaville a good option?

Sun Beach is fun. Just take a walk and stop anywhere that looks interesting and see if it fits.
Margaritaville is a very good option. The best onion rings in the world!! Ice cold red stripes and nice beach to hang out. Also plenty of tvs to catch some good NFL games! You wont get shooed away..lol.
Alfred's is a good choice. If Kuyaba isn't too busy, talk to the beach security guy. A small tip and he will drag some loungers out for you. Its also polite to order drinks and/or food if you intend to use the ultra clean bathrooms and hang out with the parrots....

We like a quiet beach with good food. Only choice is Cosmo's
Sunbeach for sure...there are a few others, but for knowing for sure that you can get a lounge-chair and not be crowded, this is the place I would head to. Obviously, if you just want to hang out at a bar, the options are many.
Sun Beach is good as well. Dont know why it slipped my mind.
I will say 2 things for Bourbon though. The Cambio is in the Parking lot if you need to change money. They also take credit card as well.
My favorite beach watering hole to kick back at is Tony's Bar.
Boardwalk is real nice for a slower change of pace...and alot less higglers!!
Thanks to all for advice. With all of those options I might have to spend more time on the beach than I had been planning......but chillin on the cliffs is awfully pleasant
SunBeach and Bourbon Beach are my two picks...........
Bourbon Beach does have a Happy Hour from 5PM to 7PM with $200J Red Stripe Beers and $150J Rum Punches....

"Once You Go, You Know"...There are much better places than Margaritaville,, even with the good onions rings. I've heard that Sun Beach has some killer Conch Bites. I have a good pic somewhere of the line of "sharks" standing just below the high water mark after a bus load of cruise passingers arrived at Margaritaville making it pretty tough to get to the water.
I love going to visit Niah. Kick back for a while, chat it up, and have some of the best patties and food on the beach! Stop by and see Mason, the carver, who has some of the most fantastic carvings ever!! He will even carve a special request and have it ready before you leave! Great likkle spot on the beach.
Also like Tony's and all the small places. Somehow, they seem to have a special ambiance that I enjoy. To each his own, some folks like the bigger places and that is fine. I have stopped in before also and had fun. But, somehow, I always drift back to the small local spots. Soon come....and even though I stay pon da cliffs....I will still be pon da wata fi a while!! Counting down the days as I type......:)
Wild Parrot is just a couple of properties north of Sun Beach. It's also a good place to hang and has the most comfortable loungers on the entire beach.
