Kristine, where in Indiana? We had blizzard conditions but now it seems better.......34 more days until sweet Jamaica
Kay I am in Terre Haute. The conditions have improved however it has started snowing again. We arrive paradise Feb. 3 :)
bad here in southeast part of the state too!
Greetings fellow Hoosiers! We already have one thing in common...a love of the island :)
18" of snow expected tonight and tomorrow here in Western Maine. 3 weeks and counting until touchdown in Negril.
Blowing snow here, good thing I only have 5 more days.
-25C here in Saskatchewan ... Sunday can't come soon enough! When you open the front door it looks like you are looking into a deep freezer ... Brrr!
I hear ya Saskgirl!!! My weather app says it feels like -27 C (-16.6 F) with the windchill!!! the funny thing is it has warmed up about 10 degrees in the last 2-3 days!! lol!! Where are you in Sask?
Only -24 C here in Thunder Bay this morning. Balmy.
We are flying through Toronto and I heard that planes were cancelled this AM so I hope all is good on Sat when we fly in and on Sun when we fly to JA ... would suck to get stuck in the other end of Canada!
Come on, Canadians! We are built for this! We have computers! We look for cheap flights to Jamaica! That's how we weather the storm. That and "Shovel, shovel, toil and trouble". We got a pooh pot of snow today, too, here in Montreal.
As Canadians, we are temperature and weather conscious. First few times we were in Jamaica, we would ask the hotel staff "What is the weather today" and they would shrug and say "hot"; "hotter than yesterday"; "Warm" .. it was hard to get an actual temperature! Nobody knew. Nobody cared. What difference does it make in Jamaica? Here in Canada, we are so temperature focused ... because we have to be! Walley's -27C makes a HUGE difference (I hear you. Walleyed! That is coming soon here, too!).
I guess it's all relative. We need to know the temp here in Canada. It's just one more stressor we don't have to worry about on our Paradise Island in the Caribbean!
