Thanks!
Also, my trusty little map link isnt working (Maher consulting...) Does anyone have a new link for a Negril map?
It is across the road from Bourbon Beach next to Timesquare.
Thanks!
right next to timesquare!
was called the HotBox for a short time this summer......
talked to a couple staying there and they said it was okay......
wata situation wasn't the best but they seemed to be enjoying themselves....
Cool Runnings, Marko
used to be The Bungalo.
Loved our stay there...the location is the best. Right across from Bourbon Beach & Cambio, next door to a food store and timesquare.
We checked in 12/28 and checked out on 01/3...We normally stay at NBCC, however they were sold out....we decided to try out Pure Gardens and we're glad we did, this will be our new Negril home.
It's being leased by new owners and eventually it'll be updated, but in the meantime it's a VERY clean and safe property. The building structure & foundation is strong. The rooms remind me of the old For Real Hotel rooms. We rented a room with a kitchen. The room was HUGE, the kitchen was HUGE as well. The kitchen was supplied with several plates & bowls, a couple thin pots, one skillet, one fork, several spoons and one knife. I'm hoping the upgrade will bring more dish ware to the kitchen rooms. Tall refrigerator and gas stove with a dining table in Kitchen.
Free wifi in each room happened every other day....the days it worked in the room, the signal stayed strong all day. The days it didn't work, we sat in the lobby (I had to work during my stay).
There's two verandahs, both shared, one off bedroom, other off kitchen. Table & chairs on both.
The water pressure was strong when the water was running. The first two days we had no water issues, on day three the water trickled in the middle of the day, never lasting all day. Don't think this was a hotel problem.... We managed, no complaints.
We loved the grounds....not beach front property, but the property had a quiet and seductive vibe...the yard had several oversized bamboo benches... I loved the sound of the bamboo trees when wind pushed through them.
Security was pretty strict....there's a huge gate that stays down, so cars could not just drive on the property. Guest are allowed.
Pictures to come.....
It sounds nice. I don't think the name HOT BOX was a great name, especially for tourists who worry about AC .... The place is right in the middle of a lot of action, so if security is good there is a lot of value there.
oh, forgot to mention the AC was cold, cold,cold....it was a old unit in the bedroom window, but it cooled the whole place....there were many nights we had to get up in the middle of the night to turn the air off....and I like cold....I have to have good AC.

I didn't take any pictures of the pool, but the pool was in good condition, didn't smell chlorine, but people were utilizing it and one day there was a pool guy cleaning it...
screens on all the windows, shutter windows....some of the window shutters would not open (the handles were broken).
