I really want to check out staying at the beach, Coco, at the end of Nov. I called the resort but they won't guarantee a room on the upper level. Do I really have to worry about security travelling alone and staying at Coco????

I have stayed MANY times at coco la palm and the security there is EXCELLENT! I would not worry at all staying on the 1st floor.
Please check out the fantastic rates that www.negrilonestop normally has. They almost always beat the rates from CCLP themselves and when you book through them, you get free continental breakfast as well.
Coco La Palm is one of my favorite resorts in Negril!
They also supply cell phones, airport xfers and tours.........
We always stay at Coco. Best spot on the beach and the security is top notch.
No worries about security for a solo traveller here.
IIRC, the deluxe rooms are all on the ground level. We didn't have any security issues. I would think you'd be fine in a deluxe.
Ground level rooms are fine.. As stated, security is top notch...No worries... Besides, I'll be there in a few weeks to confirm for ya! :)
Thanks for the info! Much appreciated!
Hello all, Just had a few questions since I have been thinking of going to CCLP. What is included in the continental breakfast? Is there a safe in the rooms? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer!
Yes there are safes in the room, breakfast is usually a basket with banana bread, muffin, toast, coffee, tea,or juice.. Their breakfast coupon for continental breakfast is about at $6.50 value... You can use that towards a "regular" breakfast and just pay the difference. By the way, the banana bread is VERY good... I'll be there on Wednesday!
See ya there Honey
Right behind ya Miguel... Be there tomorrow!!! :D:cool::cool::D
We just stayed in the superior room..got back yesterday. Had no issues with security whatsoever! Breakfast includes: Banana bread and a basked of other bread products which for our 10 days included a cinnamon roll, toast, a muffin, and toast. You have your choice of juice OR fruit...and coffee. As a side note you can ask for it to take back to your room and they ever so nicely wrap everything and put it on a nice big tray for you.
We all loved Coco and would not hesitate to stay there again and if the price is right we will!! Rooms were clean, a/c worked great, fridges in all the rooms and nice big beach towels and plenty of beach chairs. Oh and there is not a charge for the safe anymore either as they are all electronically coded with a code you set. We had a shower head that was cracked and had no pressure. Stopped at the office to let them know and it was fixed immediately!!
Beach security was great for us. They "allowed" vendors to stop but not to hassle or be overly persistant yet if you wanted the vendor they just kept an eye out in case you were finished.
