What are your "must do" evening meals?
After many trips to Negril, we find several "must do" evenings. We like to dance, so Thursday at La Vendome (Charela), Saturday at Sea Star and one evening at Ivans. We like many other places, but these three have become our "must do". What are yours?

Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
For a great, true Jamaican, great value evening meal try Ossie's Top Taste (Miss Madge's) located on the beach road by Donaldson's Inn and across for Ossie's Jerk Centre. Miss Madge makes the best fried Red Snapper that we have ever had and if you like chicken chop suey you can't go wrong. With exception of lobster not a meal over 10us. It's a can't miss.
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
Kuyaba, Just Natural and Hungry Lion are a must for me
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
Best of the West at least once per trip.
LTU
Bourbon Beach usually twice per trip
Rockhouse - "island table" once per trip, the "regular" tables once as well
Usually Margaritaville (HATE TO ADMIT THAT!) for a burger when I get a meat craving after about 10 days
Bentleys once (A MUST DO!!!)
Ivan's once
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
De Bar
Angela's for jerk sausage pizza
Ras Rody's
Norman's Patties on the beach
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?

-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?

I agree - Miss Madge has been one of the best cooks on the beach for years, and I try to get there for dinner several times each trip. Authentic rustic setting makes for great atmosphere and memorable meals.

Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
We head back to our cottage where a delicious local meal awaits us on the stove. We take advantage of the free cook service Nirvana offers. We buy the ingredients, they cook it up. Curried chicken, rice and beans, coleslaw, brown stew chicken, snapper, etc.
We are not big into eating out but will grab some jerk chicken from Best in the West. Go to Ivans one night but mostly we eat our own food for the 3 weeks we are there.

Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
Teddy's Hideaway, Sweet Spice, Sips & Bites and lunch at Choices one day at least.
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
LTU, Sweet Spice and Chances... but there are so many good places to choose from!
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
Ossie's for Jerk Pork, at least twice. Erica's for lobster, at least twice. Juci Patties, probably 3 times. German Cafe for schnitzel and fried tates. Sunset After Dark for the "burger" and Alfreds at least twice for Fish and Chips. Soon come! Plan to try Coletta's for fried chicken soon.

LOL....sorry that was an inside joke from our trip this past NYE......we ended most nights at Mi Yard and one night we were all sitting on the porch when hubby-man who was looking at the menu board said.....
"What is an E99 and cheese sandwich?!?!?!?!?!"
I laughed because I thought he was joking but when Guirigay replied "No man, that says EGG!" I realized he was being serious
So every night after that when we would go to Mi Yard we would have to order an E99 + cheese sandwich! And by the way....they ARE delicious!

Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
The grilled lobster at LTU Pub is out of this world good!! I really think it beats the grilled 'possum here in Bama.
-
Re: What are your "must do" evening meals?
After this evening, the list will include Chill Awhile. Fabulous Shrimp Rundown & Shrimp Alfredo. Made us wonder just how you buy bulk butter.
