Though I havent stayed at any of the the rooms at any of the places.

Although if you'll actually eat the breakfast at Bar B Barn, that might end up being the cheapest. (unless the two of you can eat breakfast for under $5). I've not stayed at any of the three, but was seriously considering Wild Parrot for hubby's April solo trip! The kitchenette room is a good price, and it's certainly gotten a lot of good press of late!

Just checked out the Parrot and those cabins look great for the price. Red Stripes are $2us too! Kind of a walk to Bourbon Beach and Alfreds for the music, but right by Sun Beach! I have stayed at BBBarn for $100/night with breakfast so you are getting a great rate. It's on the part of the beach with all the late music so I would say it would be the spot if that is what you are going for. Kuyaba looks like a chill place for a deluxe room but I have no info other than that! Have a great trip

oh yeah....french press pot of blue mountain coffee at the Parrot for 500j was awesome!

I am staying in the cottage at kuyaba now and it is nice. No tv but who needs one in negril?

We stopped there on each of our beach pub crawls in December. Nice place

Kuyaba has some good rooms too though the beach at Wild Parrot is MUCH larger if that is a deciding factor for you

I don't know much about BarBBarn - I know there used to be a lot of regulars there but it seems the attitude towards the place has changed a little in the last year or so

It's looking like Parrot is the most Solid bet. Jackie is Between Kuyaba and Parrot.


My personal preference - The Kuyaba end of the beach, because I like to start walking toward the Sea Splash end of the beach and then walk back, pretty much daily. Stopping from bar to bar. However, that location also makes for an easy walk to the West End as well.

But Parrot has the advantage of not being in the party every night whether you want to be or not.

Parrot is also a good bit cheaper too.

Bar B Barn has really nice rooms with dependable AC ... I've stayed there four or five times and always been happy ..... It's a very small hotel, so no matter what you're in, you're steps from the beach.

Since fellow boardies will be there at the same time, and guarantees us another couple to party with. We went with the parrot.

Pretty pumped!

Of the three, I have to admit I have only stayed at the Wild Parrot...but I love it there. The beach area is roomy, with sun and shade, two hammocks and large beach bar/restaurant. No hotel on one side, just the watersport guys, and Chances on the other. Its pretty quiet over there too....just one music show while I was there in December, but Wild Parrot gave guests passes to attend, so I really didnt mind.

Sunbeach has live music on Thursdays and Sundays, but it is far enough away to just be "background" music....nice to lull you to sleep.

You really can't go wrong with any of your options....I'm sure you will enjoy it wherever you are in Negril!

The Xtabi cheap room are nice...pool...great snorkeling....go across the street and sit at the cliffs...But...drinks & food are pricey? 3.50 for a Red Stripe???? BYOB...Why dont you have CoCo on the list? Taxes & brkfst?
