We are booking it as well.
Wow, you are only 5 days away!
Nice!
Wanna change tickers?
Sorry Rinakim I like my ticker!!:-)
We were in and out of the airport within 30 minutes total upon arrival. If you are the only ones using the service you will be at the front of every line. It only took us 15 minutes to get through everything. Have fun!
We arrived at a time when the wait for immigration was well over an hour, once they verified that our forms were done correctly, we went right to the front. Out the door in less than 15 minutes.
For a different point of view... We arrived on Wednesday Feb 6th (12:45PM) and there was no wait at immagration so the arrival service saved us absolutly no time. Our departure was on Saturday the 16th (3:45PM) and the line was about back to the Burger King. We flew past the line and were through security in about 15 minutes versus a line of probably closer to 45 min or an hour. We did some shopping and then went to the club. The club was a little steril but nice. The food was little patties, little sandwiches and deserts. All very nice with a very nice group of people making sure that drinks were filled and plates were cleaned up.
Overall... I don't think that I would use the service again as we always arrive on a Wednesday and it never seems that busy. The 30 to 45 minutes that it saved me going home was not worth the money in my mind. A full meal at Margaritaville would have been much better and a heck of a lot cheaper.
All of that being said... we paid $160 ($80 each) for the arrival and departure combo. Probably paid way too much given that the departure tickets listed a pre-paid price of $30 each. Maybe I'll look into Departure service only next year? Can I start a February 2014 Roll Call????
Thanks Russ saturdays are usually always busy so I hope it pays for me. I will join your roll call as soon as I arrive I alwayse book next year.
Can someone please repost the link to finding out the flight schedule for Sangster arriving flights? I recall you have to do it within just 1-2 days in advance. Trying to decide about using VIP Service. -- also can someone confirm - they DO or DO NOT help you through lines on departure? Sounds like you are on your own and find your way to lounge after the lines. Thanks.

Yes, they do help you through the immigration line, but not the one to check in with your airline. It saved us exactly zero minutes on the departure.
I think it depends on when you leave as far as time saved. We left on the Monday after thanksgiving our last trip, and security was already backed up. Time savings is not really that great at either end on many days, but it is like all things... A bit of pampering on vacation. I am of the mindset that when I go on vacation, I am done. If I could hire someone to hold my beer for me, I probably would. Many of us on this board have been to jamaica many, many times, are used to the routine and know what to expect on our arrival/departure day. For me, the whole service is a cheap way to remind myself that I am on vacation, not so much of a time saver, but more of a treat to start the trip off hassle free. Aside from immigration, they also go get your cab, help you get your luggage etc.... The lounge is much nicer than the old first class lounge, but the airport is so nice now, it makes little difference.
I'd still do it again, despite no time savings on the return. The lounge is a very civilized way to spend a few hours. I was surprised as it was Jan 2.
I think it all comes down to your budget. If you can afford it, go for it. If not... you can join me in the lines. I don't get the impression that it has a huge impact on time savings from others experiences.
