You can swim around in some parts, but not walk, shoes or flip flops are better on the path, but it can be done in bare fett.
Thanks PGW. Got such a great deal on Seashore Bay that we could not pass it up but we still want to wander the main beach.
The whole path is sand...but there is lots of broken glass and other debris around in that section so flip flops at a minimum would be suggested. ;)
I stayed there the first week of Jan. was great! Walked that path almost every day!
FD, we were on the One Love bus with you last March. This year we are coming in on the day you are leaving.

I walk the path in bare feet. It's not ideal, but I'm careful, it's not so long, and I choose bare feet to carrying flip flops or wearing water shoes for the rest of the walk. The more troubling part of the path to me is one not so nice guy that hangs in the trees there by the water. He remembers me each year and scares me a bit. I'm not easily intimidated, but he is a little unpredictable, and there is not always someone around.
We call that guy the troll. I walk that path almost daily when there. Will be there this Thursday!
Love that path. Ended up running into a Jamaican BBQ party while walking the path last time. It ended up being my favorite day. My GF and I walked from Bourbon beach to Boardwalk. Where we met a very nice couple from Minnesota. They took us to their spot at point village and we had a couple beers. Then walked all the way back.
Saw Hedo for the first time. That was uh... Interesting.

This picture REALLY makes me want to be there. Heading north, somewhere nearing hedo I guess, there is a block of shops and a restaurant/bar -- anyone know more? I was tempted to stop the couple times I made it this far, but to be honest I turned and head straight back, as for me that's a long walk from seasplash. But curious and hope to go there in a few weeks. Almost able to say a "couple" of weeks, come tomorrow. Can't wait.
