Trip report ( a little late)

Our last trip to Negril was mid May. I had good intentions of doing a trip report, however sometimes a busy sechedule can cause interference and delays. This trip was for 6 nites and we decided to do a cliff/beach split.

The first two nites we stayed at The Oasis on the cliffs, or should I say just off the cliff road. We had received an axceptional deal through negrilonestop.com for an all inclusive package. The Oasis was a perfect place to just relax and unwind. We arrived at The Oasis about 2:30 in the afternoon and although lunch was over the staff offered to get us something to eat. Service by all the staff throughtout our stay was very friendly and efficient.

It's the old Thrills Resort, down it's own road, a little past the old Pickeled Parrot but on the left.

Christine...Oasis is located up a road just past the Rockhouse.

Wow! The Oasis looks beautiful! One time years ago, I stayed here when it was THRILLS.
I don't recognize any of this at all....it must have really changed or I have dementia,
or maybe it was something else ;)

I did manage to pry myself away from the pool and bar to go for a walk and take a few pics. I only got as far as the Rockhouse, but made a stop at DeBar for refreshments and Weisemart for provisions.

Justchuck, what kind of camera are you using???? Some of those shots look like paintings.....gorgeous!

I shot these with a Sony a700, however there was also some photo processing involved with these images.

We also managed to get over to Ricks one evening for a little people watching and entertainment.

Too funny...we were on the westend at the end of April and took the exact same picture of the goat tied to the car!!! Your photos are amazing.

I love your pics! I stayed at Oasis when they were thrills, and remember the staff and food being excellent there, and loved the pool with the deep end. :)

Great pictures! Ricks looks packed. Tons of boats around the jump off area.
I see the Guinness Foreign Extra is in the beer tub at Ricks? Isn't that beer usually served hot? I've never seen it cold. I might have to try it that way.

In staying at The Oasis, I noticed the sheets smelled so fresh, and the towels were white, fluffy and fresh. I think I know why!
