My niece is wanting to come for a couple days to Negril for her cousin's wedding. The wedding is at the RPTB, but she just wants a cheap room somewhere else, as she can't afford a single room there. Any suggestions? She prefers the beach.

Coral Sea's Garden its on the morass side but you can use Bar b barn access. Its very clean the property is beautiful.
Coral sea garden, pure garden, greenleaf cabins, yoga centre...all on the morass side
ansells thatchwalk, NBCC... on beach side
Thanks! Looking at these now! :)
Hidden Paradise, Wild Parrot.
We stayed there last year and it was very clean. We had a kitchenette with two double beds and the staff were very accomodating. Great bang for your buck!
cheapest place would be Westport Cottages across from Sunset on da Beach............around $20 a night
Jah B's cottages across from Roots Bamboo would be around $30 a night........
Tropical Cottages across from the Boat Bar would be around what Jah B's would be.......
then Greenleaf........around $40 a night........
then Pure Garden.....
all these places are on the beach road.......
Cool Runnings, Marko
Pure Garden is the best value on Beach Road - next to Time Square.
Also try Gardenia,
Try http://www.valentinevillas.com/, its near Rooms Negril, beautiful spot on the beach. Off season, you can get a small room for $50 a night.
But I dont know what RPTB is, so I dont know what part of Negril that is.
Trivago has legends for 44 right now, they are a search engine that checks many websites. The actual website with that price is Otel.com. This prices are for my dates in April they may change depending on dates entered.
Shields on the beach. Ask for the price you want...they can only say no.
Ocean wave villa's with a kitchen across from mariposa is about 70 ... cheaper in off season. Owner's name is Janice
SHEBA, have you stayed at Ocean Wave Villa? I heard about it from a local and looked it up, emailed Janice. Photos and description look great. But couldn't find anyone here who could give info on it. In the end, I decided if I was going to stay across the road I'd want a place that has a designated beach area to use, so went with Hidden Paradise. OWV would have been $70 after April 15th, but has microwave, coffee maker, fridge etc. which would have been nice.
Hi, I think it all depends when you are going. Sometimes you can make a deal when you arrive if you know where you want to go. It's only for two nights, so it may not be easy to get a good deal. I stayed at Ansell's Thatchwalk Cottages on the beach last summer and it was very reasonable with A/C and you can get kitchenette depending on your needs with gas stove or not. It is safe and the owner is very kind.
Thanks to you all for your suggestions! I'm passing them along and we'll see what she decides. You guys are the best! :)
I will second Ansell's Thatchwalk Cottages for affordable lodging. Also might consider a room at the Negril Yoga Centre - it is a charming establishment and can get a room with reduced amenities at very affordable rate.
I would think she would want to be towards the north end of the beach and on the beach, this would be closer to RPTB. Look at the Negril map for ideas, depending on the time of year, off season offers great rates, check out Our Past Time Villas or possibly a rental in Point Village? If she is traveling alone, safety would be a concern also.
