Best Hotels For bringing kids?
I'm trying to plan a trip for next year in either May or June and this trip will include an 8-9 month old. My previous trips have been solo and ive always stayed at hidden paradise which for me as a solo traveler was fine but its not a place i'd bring an infant. Im not too picky the only things i really need is a kitchenette kind of thing, a/c is preferred, just somewhere you would feel safe bringing your children... Any recommendations??
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
I loved Rayon with my daughter. We didn't stay in their kitchenette room (although they do have those as well) but a standard room and just added a fridge and microwave. Loved the big pool and just the calm environment. Pansy and staff go out of their way for their guest and my daughter was treated like family.
On the beach we also enjoyed Seasplash, they have a one bedroom that has a full kitchen.
Rondel was always out of my price range but they have a villa with a full kitchen.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Yellow Bird may be a good fit.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Don't take this the wrong way, but ask Grandma to watch your child. You would have a better time and so would Grandma.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Crystal Waters Villas and CocoLaPalm both very family friendly.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
We had the best times with our kids. They remember those trips as highlights of their childhood. The shared memories will live forever. You won't regret it.

I believe i will a perfectly good time with my child there, i want to start getting her out there young as she has sooo much family in both west end and orange hill. I believe one of the mistakes my mother made with me is keeping me from the island or never really pushing me to visit , i lost the opportunity to meet a lot of family members and i want my child to meet as much of her family as possible seeing as no one is getting younger..

congrats on the likkle pickney!!
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Congratulations, Breana! I started taking my kids when they were babies (now grown), but you have the best reason to take your daughter and that is because of family and the Jamaican culture. It's a great thing to be able to travel with children and expose them to different cultures and experiences. They grow up so fast!
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Well then congratulations!!! Breana!! got my timing messed up there..By all means you should bring her to meet her family!!:)

RIU for kids is guaranteed happiness.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
At 8-9 months the child won't care where they are... a 1st-floor place with kitchen would be convenient. Yellowbird?

Attachment 25572children welcome at Treehouse Suites or kitchenettes but the best part is our breakfast is included.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Our daughter has been to Negril 5 times and her first trip was at 18 months. She just told me the other day that she wished that she lived in Jamaica. I think that Wild Parrot would be a good choice or Coco La Palm, Charela, Nirvana.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
Babies don't need a vacation, but I still see them at the beach... it pisses me off! I'll go over to a little baby and say 'What are you doing here? You haven't worked a day in your life!'

Please don't take offense, I just think it's funny.
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
I 2nd Wild Parrot. Off season, their kitchenette is $80. Not large, but clean and cottage style so perhaps better noise-wise. Treehouse & Crystal Waters would be more expensive (unless Gail will cut you a deal?!), as would be others mentioned.
Curious, I'll be staying at HP for the 1st time in a week. Any comments on why you wouldn't take an infant there?
Re: Best Hotels For bringing kids?
We stayed with our son several years at sea splash always worked out great,we're cliff peeps now,as he's older and enjoys jumping and snorkeling

I Love Hidden Paradise as a solo traveler or even for traveling with other adult or older kids the only thing that concerns me with bringing an infant is that there is a lot of in an out "guest"... and though it has a gate and a guard at night he usually falls asleep and the gate is easily pushed open... overall it is a nice, quiet property though.
