This sounds like such a stupid question but I am putting it out there
Is Couples Swept Away just for couples? Mom and I want to go to Negril in Dec. and looking for something small with easy access to the beach, dining room etc due to mobility issues. I would really like to be on Long Bay so I can walk south to all my favorite places along the beach. Can a mother/daughter team go to Couples?

Absolutely - just so long as you don't bring young children!

Also, all rooms only have one bed, but I know I don't mind sharing one with my Mom!
:)

Are they king size beds?

Yes, they are king size beds. There are many posts on this topic on the couples webs site message board.

Will check that out, TY.
How much difference between Couples Negril and Beaches next door? I don't usually go to AI's so not familiar. Would Beaches be just as nice or should we stick to adult resort?
Re: This sounds like such a stupid question but I am putting it out there
CSA is next to Beaches.. Couples Negril is farther north on Bloody Bay and is next to Breezes
Re: This sounds like such a stupid question but I am putting it out there
Couples really strives for "romance", so I'm not sure that it would be the best choice for a mother/daughter "couple". In fact, they even market their brand as being for "Couples in love".

A great alternative would be Charela Inn - great location on beach, good sized pool, some of the best food in Negril at their restaurant (specializing in both Jamaican and French cuisine), Jamaican owned and operated (Daniel Grizzle is Jamaican, and his wife Sylvie is originally from France ... both are long time members and Directors of the Negril Chamber of Commence). Would also be less expensive than Couples.

What about Idle Awhile? It's owned by couples, not AI, very nice rooms, nice small property...

Ladyjane : why not Golden Pinapple, it's AI , ask for beachside downstairs, you can even get to Alfreds (next door) for night life, And you'll save thousands!

Hey Lady Jane -- When we were married at Swept Away, 1996, they only allowed male/female couples, but obviously things must have changed given the other replies. What about Seasplash, in one of the ground floor suites? You could get extra bed (in addition to king that is there). They bring in a full bed, which fits nicely in the alcove, so it's not like a cot or a pull-out. Also why not CoCo where you were, no good for mom? I've always wanted to stay at Idle Awhile, but the pricing is quite high. Nice decor in the rooms -- much like Swept Away -- love the huge verandas.
