YS Falls was really great. The Blue Hole, near Brighton is amazing. We had a great 1/2 day there. They have a website, as well as reviews on Trip Advisor. Located about 20 minutes from Negril. I think your kids would love it.
Mayfield Falls! My kids (10 & 11 at the time) looooved it! A guide walks the river with you showing spots to swim, dive, explaining different plants, etc. The overall experience is great! I've been mulitple times :)

I second Mayfield over Y.S. especially for the kids.
What do you think about Blue Hole Exchange?
I've talked to a couple drivers and some people I know and they all say the Blue Hole is under construction and wouldn't recommend going until late summer.
I wonder if they meant that the hotel was under construction? We were there in February 2012, the bar was there, the mineral pool, they were serving lunch and the mineral hole was there. Waba is the owner/manager and was very proud....the hotel was under construction at that time; he offered a tour but we didnt take him up on it. Honestly, we had such a great time there, in hindsight we would have cancelled our second half of our day trip (Pelican Bar) and spent the whole day lounging by the pool at the Blue Hole.
I hear it's a long drive from Negril to Blue Hole Exchange?

Not sure what Blue Hole "Exchange" is but the Blue Hole in Brighton is only 20+ minutes from Negril, and the Blue Hole in Roaring RIiver maybe an hour and 15....there are lots of places called "Blue Hole" in JA, however, I know of two near Ochi, one in Porty, a couple in the cockpits...
Yea,the one i'm talking about is in Roaring River,Didn't realize that there was so many "blue holes":)

The Blue Hole in Brighton is very cool, though. You can even pair it up with a trip to Little Bay, for some quiet beach time.
I understand it has not rained much recently, and that is definitely something to ask about regarding Blue Hole at Roaring River. I've not been myself as I have always been told the water is too low to swim (usually Feb-March).
On the other hand, YS is usually nicer when the water is low, as it is cleaner (recent rain makes the water run too fast and it can be sort of muddy). So I'd not plan this until you get there if possible.
