Night of 100 Candles gratuity
Hello
I was just wondering from past diners if gratuity was included in the $175 for the Night of 100 Candles dinner? I've read through a few reviews using the search function but this was not mentioned. Also, we will be staying at Couples Negril. What can we expect for the return fare from Catcha? Heading out tomorrow night and expect to be on the beach by noon on Saturday :)
Thanks!
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
No tip would be extra. Cab fare would be $15- $20 US.
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
I tipped on top. Catcha will pick you up but you find your way home. It was a super evening. Enjoy!

Thanks for the quick replies! Looking forward to it and hoping the wind calms down compared to the forecast.
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
175 for what? I know catcha is great and have stayed there but what does it include?! If catcha guests are staying there that night are they required to pay that?
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
From what I understand they will pick us up, take us to Catcha/Ivan's. There is a private cliffside table with 100 tea light candles around. We get a 4/5 course meal with a private waiter and bottle of sparkling wine.
Maybe some past visitors can chime in with other things.
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
my wife a I just did this 2 weeks ago, menus with your names on them, a bottle of champane (we subsituted a very good bottle of red wine)salad and apps. and anything on the menu with the best table they have, wonderfully set up all by it self with great service ,you could just go and sit somewhere else there and save some money but it was worth every penny. i have pics will post later, you can still go there for dinner as normal too
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
You will not see 100 tea light candles, that I can assure you. However they have hung white Xmas lights on the railing to help set the ambiance. If you want privacy away from the other guest this is a great option. If not, you might as well sit at another table.

We did this for our 5th anniversary in December. It was the most romantic dinner ever and well worth the money. We could have sat under the stars listening to the waves all night. Wonderful food, awesome service, I highly recommend it!

We did it for no apparent reason. One of the nicest experiences. Just for 2!

Um, Dash, one apparent reason....or it's couch time baby!
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
They indeed set up and light 100 candles, so patient to light so many candles It looked lovely and private and romantic. The couple were not seated till sunset so the effects of the candles was magical. We also had an awesome romantic table, set away from the other tables. oceanside.

Gotta take my Betty for this one for sure....shhhh keep it quiet...lol
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
We did it and my wife still remarks about it and I'm still enjoying the "extra points" I scored for the romantic gesture. There were 100 candles the night we ate, my wife counted for fun before we left, I was seeing double so I was no help! We also tipped at the end, our waitress (Im so sorry I forgot her name) was spectacular, I gave her $40. Sorry I can't help on the taxi price, we were staying there when we did it.
Re: Night of 100 Candles gratuity
Thank you all for your comments, just wanted to add that there is definitely 100 candles at that table we add the Christmas light for additional lightings.
Gratuity is additional to the bill of 175 dollars, taxes already including in that price of 175.
see you at Ivan's

I have to add that I had a special request that Catcha was happy to help me with and it hit the mark! Brought the evening to a close with tears of joy! Best money I've ever spent on a dinner.
