Hi Gail, thanks for posting these. Is 1-866-683-8368n a number one must call to use the code? I know if you call Airtran to book a flight, they charge $15 for the phone servicing.... Or is 1-866-683-8368n a certificate code to use with the BBH11? I have tried, and it doesn't work. Just get a Voucher Not Found error message...
Advice?
You must call them no booking fee
This code is only available if you call AirTran? Is it possible to enter the code online?
You MUST CALL NOT DONE ONLINE AND NO FEE!! :)
The (number above) Event Savers Office is open 8am - 9pm Eastern Time, Monday-Friday.
I just tried calling and you must have the event name....please what is the event name. Thank you.
This is SUCH AN AWESOME DEAL!!! When you book through this number, there is NO FEE the first time you change the flight, and NO FEE if you have to cancel! (ergo, don't need trip insurance for that kind of thing if you have concerns you might need to change or cancel.) One of the many reasons I like Airtran, is their regular change/cancellation fee is only $75. AND, if you do your online check-in promptly, you can often buy a 1-leg seat upgrade to business class for $49 and get 2 checked bags free (basically paying $9 for the upgraded seat and free drinks/better snacks).
One more thing, I have had good luck booking one-way flights on Airtran. I booked my return last night when I saw a good price (office closed so couldn't get the 10% but still great price). But flights down were still pricey. This morning I looked again and saw 1 flight in my target dates, and called the Event Savers Office to book it. For the first time in ??? years my round trip flight is less than $400!
Here is all the info you need to know:
1-866-683-8368 Office Hours 8am-9pm Eastern Time, Monday-Friday
Code BBH11
Event BONNER BROTHER HAIR SHOW
THANK YOU GAIL!
I booked my work trip from MCO thru the same group sales phone number and got the 10% discount. I originally booked for late August but I've gotten an invitation to a banquet in early Sept in Mobay that I really want to attend.
I booked on Jet Blue for the Sept trip. Free checked bag so I can carry my tuxedo.
Rescheduled the Air Tran trip to late November for another work trip with no change fee.
Yes, I just called to inquire about flights from Atlanta - Mo Bay late August. The price is still a little steep for me $424. I think I can find a better price if I wait it out. Thank you for all the information. I am patiently waiting the affordable price for travels to the Island of Paradise.
tranquilitygurl.....I just booked my round trip from Atlanta for mid-August on Delta for $230 plus taxes, etc. for a total just under $300 with no charge for up to two pieces of luggage and pick your own seat (both of which aitran charges for). I would suggest waiting it out.
Wow! I think I'm gonna wait it out leaving from Chicago as I just refuse to pay $600 - $700 for just airfare. Nope just can't do it! I will stay home before I do that.
Twister, are you sure 2 free checked bags on Delta? I read only the 1st bag is free...
travel between the United States or Canada and Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean:
First checked bag: No fee applies
Second checked bag: 30 USD/CAD* at the airport kiosk, ticket counter, online, or curbside
*CAD amounts will be charged when exiting Canada.
Tranquility - try looking at each way separately, and book when you see a price you like. I have found it easier to book one-ways to get best price, when I don't find good total flight prices. So what if you book 1 direction this week, and going the other way a few days later. Last night the 'to JA" prices were too high, and this morning I found a good one, and booked it.
Delta had some good prices last week, but then they went higher. I check Delta at same time as Airtran. Again, nothing wrong (nor do flights cost more) with booking 1-way tickets.
Interesting....I could've sworn it was two free bags for international...now I see the first free and second is $30 USD. Gonna have to check a little closer tomorrow. Frequent flyer status may have made the difference. Not sure. Hmmmmmm....lol. Thanks for bringing to my attention ;-)
Yes, this is great information and I will definitely do comparison shopping for my airline ticket. After all year of handling all family matters 100%, I NEED SOME ME TIME!!!!
It is my frequent flyer that allows me two free bags...lol. I guess got it confused with what is normally accepted.
Butterfly - In staying at the treehouse and catcha gardens. So a little beach and a little cliffs.
Lola - I started looking at them that way and I think that is how I'm going to purchase them.
Thank you for posting this!!!! I just boooked my November ticket using the instructions from Lola. The cost was cheaper than the internet price. No onto my December ticket.....
Wonder of I can use this code for my DC trip
from Orlando to Montego Bay in the second half of August it's only $233.72 R/T with taxes as of Saturday 7/23........
so with 10% off it's $210.35.........still have to pay the $20 bucks for a bag one way......still elcheapo and very tempting for this guy........
pretty sure that's the closet I've ever seen to the $200R/T mark in a long, long time mon.......
it's cheaper to fly to Jamaica than to most parts of our own country.....can you believe dat!
can Monday morning come soon enuff.......lol
Cool Runnings, Marko
You are all welcome!
Gail
Heck yes!
I wonder if this will work for my 2012 winter trip for 60+ days?
I just called....No Go...Code is only good through 2011...Bummer!
Is it only good for Jamaica??
Butterfly - it seems to be a bit cheaper this way AND it works better for my household budget. I don't know why I never thought of that before! I will be sure to let you know as I am a picture taker! Of the outside AND the inside.
Boardies - I did this for my son & his wife's flight (as reported earlier - thanks again Gail!) Just make sure you have the NAME of the promotion "BONNER BROTHER HAIR SHOW" as well as the code when you call they WILL ask for it!
I just changed my AirTran flight from August to Dec because I'm going home in Sept instead of August and booked that on Jet Blue.
Not only was there no change fee under this event booking they are crediting my A+ account 12.00 for the difference in fare.
THANK YOU GAIL!!!!!!!
I'm not sure how long the Bonner Brother code is valid for (I used it for my Thanksgiving trip) but you all can use my event code for travel between December 17 and Jan 8:
Event Code: MBJ122011
Event Name: Russell Family Reunion
The price of a great fare is:
Daily vigilance and flexible dates
Just saw previous posts that Bonner Brothers expires end of 2011 so whomever needs it, can use my code but it's only good until Jan 8th. I finally purchased my ticket for Xmas/NYE and of course have begun counting down!!!!
Another nice feature I learned of today - they can put the booking on a 10-day Courtesy Hold - just need to call them by 9pm Eastern Time on the tenth day (counting the day you make the reservation) to pay for it.
For the best price, wait for one of their Sale announcements, and book at those rates. The flight I have on hold would cost $50 more if booked today.
